Cam Newton vs Joe Burrow debate is laughable

YES, it is.

The number of players on Auburn's 2010 offense who played in the NFL (1) Cam Newton. If Cam had Brady + those weapons Cam would've done everything Burrow did and more
In that case the best QB in history was...insert any fricking name here.

I mean if we are going to throw out what actually happened and replace it with what might have happened.

Cam started behind Tebow (another 1 in a generation QB) he wasn't getting a chance til Tebow was gone. He went to JC and won the NC (didn't suck it up like Joe even if it was JC).

He went to a JC for stealing a fricking laptop. I like how that story changes to he was just looking for playing time.

And yet everyone will know Cam by name and Burrow as a stat when they look in books. Burrow is going to be just another QB with high passing numbers in 10 years. Just like everyone knows Bo Jackson but few knows who has better stats.

Riiiight. Right now everyone knows Cam as a cross dressing quitter. No one gives a frick about his MVP and Super Bowl loss 5 years ago.

Joe Brady made LSU. They will be back to 8-4/9-3 next season fighting for 3rd/4th in the West.

Guaranteed losses: Alabama and Florida.

Toss ups: Auburn and Aggy.

Y’all better hope Saban retires before Leach and Freshwater get things going or you’ll be Arkansas.

It’s really sad that this has become your last remaining hot take talking point. Maybe burrow is just good. Crazy thought I know

Isn’t that what happened to Auburn after Cam left? Didn’t they have a losing season? Yet you say that Cam is the best ever and point to the fact that Auburn fell off so drastically when he left as evidence for him being the best ever, and you do the reverse of that with Burrow. Interesting take. It’s complete bullshite, but it’s an interesting take.

Auburn after Cam:

8-5
3-9
12-2
8-5
7-6
8-5
10-4
8-5
9-4

That's a whole lotta suck.

Whoa, let's calm down a bit. That's not the whole story.

Cam Newton was also caught cheating and was to appear before a disciplinary board at Florida before he transferred to Blinn College.

Auburn quarterback Cam Newton was facing possible expulsion from the University of Florida for academic cheating when he transferred to junior college in the spring of 2009, FoxSports.com reported Monday.

quote:

According to FoxSports.com, Newton again violated the university's honor code by putting his name on another student's paper and turning it in. Newton was caught after the instructor asked the real author of the paper why he had not turned in his work.

Newton turned in a second paper to the instructor, but that paper was later found to have been purchased off the Internet, according to FoxSports.com. He was to appear for a hearing in front of Florida's Student Conduct Committee during the spring semester of 2009 but instead transferred to Blinn College.

LSU just won its third NC in the BCS/CFP era, each win under a different head coach and staff, played in four NC games, and just won its 5th SEC championship since 2001 (2 under Saban, 2 under Miles, and 1 under Orgeron), played in 6 SEC championship games since 2001, and yet here you are thinking we will be Arkansas. LSU hasn’t had a losing season since 1999, and has won at least 8 games a year since 1999, with 11 of those seasons having 10 wins or more. LSU is recruiting well and is in a talent rich state with no in state competition. Suddenly because we just won a NC with the best season in the history of college football, we will now become Arkansas, really? Sounds like wishful thinking from some jealous fans of other schools.

Joe Burrow was awful last year"? LSU won 10 games and ended up ranked #6 in the country. He got to campus late July & didn't know half the team's names at Fall practice. He literally had never taken a snap under center in his football life. As for his just being a stat in 10 years, no, he will forever be known as Heisman Winner, by a record vote, Joe Burrow, author of the greatest QB season in college football history. Cam is being mocked & made fun of already. Did Cam beat 7 Top 10 teams? Did Cam beat the pre-season top 1-2-3-4 teams in the country? That is not stats, that is college football history. And if we need a tie breaker: did Cam's grandmother score 82 points in a basketball game? Joe's did.( sarcasm for the intellectually impaired)

Well yeah Saban made you relevant for the first time in what? 40 plus years? Les rode his coattails for a few years but ultimately he was who we thought he was.

You had a bland boring, relatively unproductive offense in 2018, bring in Joe Brady, using the same personnel and now you magically have the second best offense in the nation?

Tried

You
