As Bama declines more and more, it seems as though beating LSU or Georgia now constitutes a successful season.

Forget natties at this point.

You can't win national titles without beating LSU and Georgia.

We just do it on an annual basis regardless of the season's outcome.

Meyer told Tebow that he was on a mission from God.

Urban Meyer enlisted Tebow to help recruit Aaron Hernandez to Florida. Later Tebow kept him from getting kicked off the team. I bet that was an awkward relationship

quote:

Meyer was aided in the recruitment by Steve Addazio, a Connecticut native, and Florida quarterback Tim Tebow. Addazio and Meyer told Hernandez that they believed he had the potential to play in the National Football League (NFL). Hernandez's principal later said that the two were persuasive and heavily pressured Hernandez, but in retrospect that it was a mistake to allow him to graduate early.

Hernandez was not academically prepared for college and had to take remedial courses at Santa Fe Community College. Many of his teammates, particularly those whom Meyer convinced to come to Gainesville early, did likewise.

Hernandez later said that he was high on drugs every time he took the field. Meyer had wanted to remove Hernandez from the team for his chronic marijuana use, but relented after an appeal from Tebow. However, after Hernandez's junior year, Meyer told him that he would not be welcome back for a fourth year, and that he would have to try to get picked up by a professional team in the 2010 NFL draft. Hernandez finished his college career with 111 receptions for 1,382 yards and 12 touchdowns

Nick Saban would have joined his former college teammate, Gary Pinkel, as Gary's Defensive Coordinator. They would have won 7 national championships during their time together.

You could put Nick Saban, Bear Bryant and Bill Parcells on Missouri's sideline and still not win a championship.

You could be Steve Spurrier, Shark Romancer and Billy Bob Slingblade, and still have to live amongst jorted up gator jammers.

The people here hate you more than they hate me.

That's impressive.

Shula wasnt a bad coach either. South Carolina would hang a statue of him.

Most people do not know the rec controlls Miami Dolphin football....they also wanted Saban at Bama.

That's the short story. It can get into conspiracy shite.

People sometimes mistake the girth of the rec for the Machine. Two different powerful entities though one's way more powerful than the other. No conspiracy is too big for the machine.

But Irving’s Meyer would have still won the natty with Chris leak and then he had cam newton which he would have found a way to keep him on the team..
SABAN would have probably gone to work for belicheck and the patriots

Or Tebow would have gone to Bama and fizzled out on those losing teams.

I mean, we did manage to go 10-2, think in 2005? so, i think tebow would have been at least good enough to make us win 2-3 more games a year on average. i think the logic is sound that had tebow come to bama we would not have landed saban.

i do think saban would have gone to another SEC school, or like someone mentioned, maybe USC. Pete was looking to get out already I think by the time we landed the GOAT.

Just LSU fans, most Auburn fans, and Alabama alters.

But LSU fans hate everything and everybody at some point, even themselves.

He’d still be great in nfl had he gone to another team, even after Miami.

He would've been a 9-7 coach until he got a QB better than Dante Culpepper. In his own words, realizing he had no real control or saw no logical path in getting a top QB is what sent him back to college ball.

He has also said without going to Miami, he is unsure he would've become the coach he did at Bama.
