I’m not saying the SEC is better than the Big12 top to bottom though.

I’m saying the ACC is more comparable in basketball to the SEC in football because they have a lot of tourney teams plus bring home the hardware

You really don't

SEC WCBB is probably the most balanced top to bottom over the past 40 years or so. Most all the SEC women have been to a Final Four

SEC MCBB is overshadowed by CFB but Vanderbilt was solid before UK built Memorial and lots of basketball success with the Charter SEC schools. Just 1 school overshadowed the rest even tho they were good.

Arkansas was a solid MCBB add
SC has been better since joining the SEC
Missouri was added for basketball but was B8 so B8 -> B12 -> SEC
TAMU not a CBB school

OU is basketball school
Utx is not

MSU was good at basketball in the 90s and early 2000s

We are trying to get back to being solid

I get that nobody cares about basketball. And I get that the sec is the best conference for football. I’m not going to debate these points cause I agree. But with the way the sec thinks of themselves… that is actually the reality for big 12 basketball.

How so?

Basketball National Titles since 1992 SEC Expansion
- SEC 6 Titles, 3 different schools
- Big 12, 3 Titles, 2 schools

Four other times the SEC has played for the National Title as well. So in 10 seasons, the SEC has had a representative in the National title game since 1992.

Gotta be honest I didn’t think MSU had a shot in hell of beating TCU today, but now that you posted this thread…..

TCU probably doesn’t care about this game and they just beat Kansas. I can see Mississippi state winning. That’s why the spread is a pick em. Gotta go with the frogs though, way better team

This little display is exhibit A in old SWC behavior.

tu always had the deepest pockets and control of the state legislature. The paupers of the conference like Baylor and TCU were just happy to have the few crumbs the sips in Austin dropped on the floor.

How dare A&M forget their place? This was most evident when we hired Jackie Sherrill and started beating that t-sip arse on the reg. Our success in the late '80s and early '90s infuriated SWC fan bases.

Then the sips brokered the deal for the BigXII, kicked your TCU arse to the curb, and relegated you to the Mountain West.

Haivng finally had enough of that sip shite, the Ags left the plantation for the SEC. And despite that fact, you deny that it's the reason you were once again given a seat at the adults table.

Yeah that’s reasonable. Arguably the worst team in the SEC should be able to hang with and possibly beat arguably the best team in the BIG 12. That definitely supports your argument.

I mean we're destroying a top 15 team from your conference and a lot more ball to play today also this post is ironic considering it was your team that just got beat down by Georgia's 2nd and 3rd teams on national television.

The 8th best team in the Big 12 is murdering your top team. Iowa State is trash on the road and great at home

There is no argument that miss state is the worst team in the sec. if anything they might be in the top half. You clearly don’t know what you’re talking about.

And it’s sports dude. On any given Sunday…

I didn’t deny it. But big 12 likely would have expanded anyways and tcu would obviously be the team they would want.

Mississippi state is tied for dead last in the conference at 1-7. We shoot 50% from the free throw line. That’s worse than high school level. I don’t care who we’ve played, there is plenty of argument.
