So basically he got all his yards against defenses that knew he was going run and would stack 9 or more in the box. NONE of the rbs mentioned here had to face that.
Chubb had that.
2015 Greyson Lambert at QB (20 attempts per game)
2017 Jake Fromm at QB (19 attempts per game).
In 2017, we rant the ball 66.8% of the time on 1st down. Fromm was passimg 55% of the time on 3rd down.

Any South Carolina fans want to chime in? He shredded them.
Like 180 freshman year, 219 sophomore, and 321 year 3.

He had one all-time great year, and one really good year in 2014 where he had 177 touches for 1,123 yards and 13 TDs.
As a freshman he averaged 12.3 yards per play from scrimmage.
That argument is very dumb.

The bar is set high with South Carolina rushing defenses.

He had 16 more yards from scrimmage than Ingram in a significantly weaker league.
I’m all ears on your reasoning

Dmac had a broke foot the whole season of his junior season. STFU with that chub shite.

South Carolina fans saw all the UGA running backs and McFadden. I'd rank them:
1. McFadden
2. Chubb
3. Gurley
4. Michel

Hated playing against him...breaking down the stats a little more.
McFadden vs Bush
McFadden had 1,400 more rushing yards than bush...but also had 350 more carries. McFadden averaged 5.8 ypc, and Bush averaged 7.3. So, Arkansas relied on McFadden as a runner much more than USC relied on Bush.
McFadden had 935 fewer receiving yards than bush...but also had 54 fewer receptions. McFadden averaged 7.9 yards per reception...Bush averaged 13.7.
McFadden had 5 more TDs on 300 more touches (carries and receptions) than Bush.
McFadden vs Peterson
McFadden had 470 more rushing yards than Peterson...but also had 37 more carries. McFadden averaged 5.8 yards per carry, Peterson averaged 5.4. Peterson played 7 fewer games due to injury...so both Arkansas and Oklahoma relied on them heavily as runners.
McFadden had 167 more receiving yards than Peterson, on 17 more receptions...neither were heavily relied on as receivers. McFadden averaged 7.9 yards per reception, Peterson averaged 8.3.
McFadden had 1 more TD on 59 more touches (carries and receptions) than Peterson.
I will add that in the era that they each played...the SEC defenses McFadden faced were much more stingy (statistically) than those Bush and Peterson faced in the Pac-10 and Big-12 respectively.

Their college stats are almost identical:
McFadden had 4,590 yds (5.8 ypc), 41 rushing Tds in 38 games.
Chubb had 4,769 yds (6.3 ypc), 44 rushing TDs in 47 games.
Both shared carries to some extent, but Chubb played with Gurley, Marshall, Michel.
Both excellent backs.

I loved watching McFadden run, but Adrian Peterson was better. He is one of the only players I've ever seen who I thought was physically ready for the NFL coming out of high school. He might have pushed 6000 yards in 3 seasons at Oklahoma if he didn't get injured in his sophomore and junior seasons.

Because the argument always devolves into Henry only “being good for one year”. Even though that season was freaking ridiculous. It’s old and tiring.
And what the haters fail to mention or take note of is that Henry left Alabama as the school's career rushing yardage and touchdown leader. And he did all of that in just three years, only one of which he was RB1. Najee Harris, the current rushing yardage and TD leader, took four full seasons, two of them as the main guy, to accumulate his yardage.

He wasn't huge and didn't have 4.3 speed,

I think he was talking about Knowshon, not McFadden, although he didn't make it clear. Everyone knows McFadden could absolutely fly while the biggest knock on Knowshon was his lack of long speed.

No he even admitted below that he stands corrected and that he did have elite speed

McFadden was more dominant than anyone else I'd seen play during that time period. Not sure it's particularly close.
You knew he was getting his and there was nothing you could do about it, maybe be the only running back i truly was scared to see line up on the other side. He carried some of those arkansas teams on his back

I'm not knocking your opinion.
You are absolutely welcome to it.
I'm just laughing at Scar being the measuring stick for greatness.
Greyson Lambert was 24 for 25 passing against the gamecocks. 330 yards. 3 TDs.
Dawg fans don't typically call out Carolina fans to tell us how great Lambert was.

DMac’s performance against Alabama in 2007 in the 2nd half was the most physical performance of his career I believe. Maybe not most in yards, but brought us back from a big deficit to force overtime. The offense was almost single-handedly on his back. Alabama knew we couldn’t pass and that he was getting it almost every play late. It was basically McFadden vs the entire Bama D. He finally got so fatigued/concussed he had to be taken out.
