Well, 'best' is a broad term. Just because they had the most yards might not be the be all that tells all. Nick Chubb, Sony Michel and Todd Gurley are names that jump out at ya from UGA's storied RB history, but one from UGA that gets a bit overlooked is Knowshon Moreno. He only played a couple of seasons so he don't have eye-popping stats, but he was maybe the best RB, since Walker of course, that I've ever seen that could make 'something out of nothing'. It's like he never lost yards. He could get pinned in behind the line with 4 defenders on him and find SOME way to scramble or power through get positive yards. He wasn't huge and didn't have 4.3 speed, but he had some kind of undefinable 'it' factor that most RBs don't have. Just my two cents.

Can you make the picture a little bit bigger, I didn't have to scroll quite far enough to have to see the whole thing. You have been here 12 years, you should know how to resize a picture, add width=500 (change number to adjust size) to end of your image link

God I hated playing him. To the poster said it wasn’t all about yards, you’re correct, but the yardage he put up matches the elite skill level he had. Watching him, he was light years better in college than all of those UGA backs you mentioned.
How he wasn’t more of a success in the nfl I do not know.

And what is not said is he shared the backfield with 2 others that were decent draft picks. Felix Jones and Peyton Hillis would have started for any SEC team

He was unbelievable. There might be arguments for other players, but based on McFadden's games against SC it would be hard for me to pick anyone else.
2005: 32 carries, 187 yards (5.8 YPC)
2006: 25 carries, 219 yards (8.8 YPC), 2 TDs.
2007: 34 carries, 321 yards (9.4 YPC), 1 TD. Also threw for a 23-yard touchdown.

Adrian Peterson is the best RB in the last 20 years, college or pro. You Arkansas fans are fvckin ridiculous with this BS. Lol

Ok, I stand corrected...he DID have 4.3 speed. I didn't realize Moreno was so fast.

"Light years" ahead of Nick Chubb? Uh, so you're new to the game of college football I see. Well, don't worry, keep watching and I'm sure you'll pick up on things pretty fast.

He was not light years ahead of Chubb, Michel, and Gurley. Chubb was the best IMO.

College you could argue yes about Peterson. Pro most definitely not.

Maybe not but if I had to pick one RB to carry my team the length of the field for a TD when you need it most out of McFadden, Gurley, Chubb and Michel I’m picking McFadden every time.

I didn’t stutter. He was so much better than chubb was in college.

Hester had more meaningful yards than all of those clowns

Is there a penis in this picture?

Chubb suffered a horrific knee injury in 2015 and 6 months later put up a 640 lb squat and came back in 2016 and racked up 1100+ rushing yards. That's what you call an athlete my friend. If my life is depending on it, I'm going with Chubb.

I'm a Carolina fan, and am pretty impartial in this debate all things considered.
McFadden was more dominant than anyone else I'd seen play during that time period. Not sure it's particularly close.

I seen McFadden play and he was a great back. To say it's "not close" means you didn't see some others play.
He's neck-and-neck in a group including McFadden, Chubb, Peterson, Todd Gurley, Moreno and Mark Ingram from Bama. All of those backs were great and had areas they excelled in more than others but all were about equal. That's just in the last couple of decades.
