Charlie Conerly might be Ole Miss’ best.
He led the Giants to three NFL Championship games in four seasons (1956, 1958–1959).
Conerly was named NFL "Rookie of the Year" in 1948, a season when he set many Giants rookie franchise records that still stand:
As of 2017's NFL off-season, Charlie Conerly held at least 10 Giants franchise records, including:
Most Completions (rookie season): 162 (1948)
Most Pass Attempts (rookie season): 299 (1948)
Most Passing Yards (rookie season): 2,175 (1948)
Most Passing TDs (rookie season): 22 (1948)
Most Intercepted (game): 5 (1951-10-14 CRD and 1953-12-13 DET; tied with Jeff Rutledge and Eli Manning) Haha!
Most Passer Rating (rookie season): 84.0 (1948)
Most Yds/Pass Att (season): 8.79 (1959)
Most Yds/Pass Att (playoff career): 8.53
Most Yds/Pass Att (playoff season): 10.48 (1958)
Most Pass Yds/Game (rookie season): 181.3 (1948)
PERSPECTIVE IS NEEDED HERE. THIS IS VERY EARLY IN THE PASSING GAME EVOLUTION.
Lagniappe: Also he was “The Marlboro Man” cowboy in the commercials some of us remember.
Also he is the uncle of Jimbo Mathus of Squirrel Nut Zippers Swing band and Grammy winner fame.

You can make the case for 4-5 different BAMA players. Hutson, Thomas, Hannah...and Julio is inching up into that rarified air.

For me, it's DT. Had the most dominant year at his position ever in the SEC. To me, it's not even close. I have been a fan since the 70s so I saw them all play but Starr and hutson 0f the ones being mentioned. I just think DT was better.

How did he get out of Arkansas? He and Bear Bryant were both from AR. Didn't know that.
The Biletnikoff should've been The Hutson Award instead.
Hutson was the first modern WR but he did it all as a pro...WR, safety, kicker, player-coach. Even led the league in interceptions.
As of the end of the 2017 NFL season, Hutson still holds the following records:
most seasons leading league in pass receptions (8),
most consecutive seasons leading league in pass receptions (5),
most seasons leading league in pass receiving yards gained (7),
most consecutive seasons leading league in pass receiving yards gained (4),
most seasons leading league in pass receiving touchdowns (9),
most seasons leading the league in total touchdowns (8),
Most consecutive seasons leading league in pass receiving touchdowns (5),
most seasons leading league in scoring (5, now tied), and most consecutive seasons leading league in scoring (5).
Records held as of retirement:
Most seasons led league, scoring: 5*
Most consecutive seasons led league, scoring: 5*
Most touchdowns scored in a quarter: 4*
Most touchdown receptions in a quarter: 4*
Most points scored in a quarter: 29*[39][1][59]
Most seasons led league, touchdowns: 8*
Most consecutive seasons led league, touchdowns: 4*
Most seasons led league, receiving touchdowns: 9*
Most consecutive seasons led league, receiving touchdowns: 5*
Most seasons led league, receptions: 8*
Most consecutive seasons led league, receptions: 5*
Most seasons led league, receiving yards: 7*
Most consecutive seasons led league, receiving yards: 4*
Most receptions, career: 488
Most receptions, season: 74
Most receptions, game: 14
Most receiving yards, career: 7,991
Most receiving yards, season: 1,211
Most receiving yards, game: 209
Most receiving touchdowns, career: 99
Most touchdowns, season: 17
Most touchdowns, game: 4
Most points scored in a calendar month: 74 (Four games in October 1945)
Note: * = remains an NFL record as of 2017 season[60]
Sportswriter Zipp Newman referred to Hutson as "the Ty Cobb of the gridiron."[15]

How about Mike Evans, WR from A&M, putting together a HoF Career as well in Tampa Bay
Von has that Super Bowl MVP though
Myles Garrett another good pick

Georgia - Champ Bailey was a GREAT player. But there is no way he surpasses Herschel Walker
Champ Bailey was absolutely better.
12x Pro Bowler
3x First Team All Pro
4x Second Team All Pro
NFL Hall of Famer (1st ballot)
That's a fair argument. I'd still take Herschel Walker though. In Bailey's corner is the fact that Herschel never played for an NFL championship team
Great player both, but not the best from Athens. That honor goes to Jake Scott... hands down (RIP Jake)
2× Super Bowl champion (VII, VIII)
Super Bowl MVP (VII)
5× Pro Bowl (1971–1975)
2× First-team All-Pro (1973, 1974)
3× Second-team All-Pro (1971, 1972, 1975)
Miami Dolphin Honor Roll
Football Digest Defensive Back of the Year (1974)
Consensus All-American (1968)
Florida–Georgia Hall of Fame
Georgia sports HOF 2000
College Football HOF 2011
Retired to the most westward part of Hawaii to fish and drink beer after football.
Other notorious acts omitted but remembered fondly.

WOW! No wonder Bryant was the "other End!" Bryant was actually a great player placing on the all-american as the 2nd team End as referred to back then..Hutson was the 1rst team all-american.

Man, I’d go with Ray Childress for the Ags.
Maybe even AARON Glenn
Von and Myles are still building their resume.

I love Von. Dude, I live in CO. I'm just saying that long-term Garrett may end up being better. Especially after he get out of Cleveland

I didn't know he was a Miss. St. Bulldog. Great player on that "Doomsday Defense" for the Dallas Cowboys teams of the 1970s.
There were a lot of good players on that defense that played a long time for them.
D.D. Lewis. Hadn't heard his name called in a while.

Gotta go with the best cornerback in the NFL the past several years, Stephon Gilmore.

Let's not forget Dwight Stephenson. Maybe the best center to play the game.
Ironically, his career was cut short by a questionable hit by a former Bama teammate.

Tier three: ELITE NFL PLAYERS

I'd mention Alan Faneca before Whitworth if we're naming OTs. 9 Pro Bowls, 6x 1st team all-pro, 2x 2nd team all-pro, named to 2000s all-decade team, super bowl champion, likely future HOFer. And, can't talk about him without showing his transformation from NFL LT to long-distance runner

Faulk doesn’t really belong here. Respect his career and he’s my favorite Tiger player of all time, but guys like Beckham, Landry, Adams, T White, D White, etc have all accomplished more individually in their short careers than Faulk ever did. Faulk is in the Patriots hall of fame but was never even their #1 back.
