Louisiana has one of the better ones here. I really don't like our state capitol.

Do think the one in LA the best. MO looks out of place compared to the other ones but I do not recall larger plantations a thing in the Show Me State.

Sort of disappointed with TX. Expected a little larger scale of sorts.

Kentucky with a clean sweep of the capitol building and governors mansion categories. Im a bit shocked but pleased.

Missouri....that thing is shameful.

That is how I want my house to look when we build. I love the plantation style housing. Obviously not going to be as big or cost as much though. Alabama is probably closest to what I'll be able to build in a few years.

My favorite is New Jersey but I’d probably live in the Arizona pad

I'm starting to change my mind on Ky as #1. The more I stare at it, the more I expect Granny Clampett to open the door as Ms Hathaway wheels Arthur Drysdale to the curb.

La wins.

You’re right .... I forgot about Virginia’s although no one considers them Southern anymore to be honest.

Everything south of Northern VA and excluding the Charlottesville area is Southern, but not deep Southern.

-Florida's looks like a frat house
-Georgia's looks like a small town courthouse
-Missouri's looks like a haunted mansion
-South Carolina's looks like Cuba

Everyone else's is exactly what I expected

It’s actually a beautiful building; that photo doesn’t really do it justice.

It sustained tremendous damage in a fire in 2008, so it’s good to see it repaired.

Following the Astros’ recent World Series win:

When you build something nice the first time you don't have to build again.

Proud of saying that Texas has only ever had one governor's mansion.
Don't ever need another one.

Only two GM are considered National Historic Landmarks.
Texas' GM and Virginia's GM

And so it is---Late 18-hundreds, 9-year-old daughter of
a governor died in the top floor of the mansion.
Over the years, reports of faint voices of a child or footsteps on that floor or in the attic---including in 1983 when a repairman came down from the attic and mentioned the
governor's daughter was there for a couple of hours while he worked. When told the governor had no children, he refused to return and left his work unfinished.

Georgia's is terrible. Texas looks shitty too. Maybe it's just the angle of the picture and the landscaping. It's just a square and I can see those fugly arse brick buildings next to it.

Hogwash.
It may not be in your lane, but it’s a beautiful historic building.
