I’ll be very curious which, if any, end up at Texas. The tampering rumors are loud. Reminds me of Chase Burns who was clearly headed for LSU and then all of sudden nothing happened. I think in that case, the tampering noise got too loud and I wonder if that will be the case here.
Texas is arrogant enough to do it openly and challenged anyone to stop them.

That implies that everyone involved had at least some level of dislike for something about A&M.
I don't think you understand the dynamic.
When LSU and Alabama are at odds, the decision makers within each program don't go out of their way to ruin the other once the game ends.
Whereas in this case, for example, one school lobbied the state legislature for over 30 years to block another school's attempt to acquire a LAW SCHOOL.
There is literally nothing beneath them.

A&M literally has nobody to keep this team. The baseball building is empty except for the players. Many of which are going to MLB in the draft Maybe Targac can keep it together.
It’s why the ncaa/conferences need to fix these dates. Aggies getting absolutely hosed with portal window and penalized even more for making a championship run
Entire country can poach your players, but you won’t be able to poach any except for the team that you get your coach from (until the next portal window)

You think the horn boosters having been working out NIL deals with our existing players for months and that somehow never leaked? Multiple players have said they were shocked by the news. I just find it extremely hard to believe that’s accurate.
More likely is they entered because there’s no reason not to. They only have until 7/2 to enter and might not even know who the coach is by then but have a lot longer to decide where they are going. They can easily stay but can’t so easily leave if they aren’t on the portal.
The biggest recruiting job for the new coach will be convincing guys to stay.

I want Grahovac at Arkansas and maybe Hayden Schott as well.

If the SEC transfer rule applies to baseball, anyone that does has to sit a year. There is no way the NCAA will grant a hardship waiver if even a fraction of the allegations are true.

This isn't a thing.

Does the in-conference transfer penalty (sit a year) only apply to football?

Grahovac seems like the one most likely to follow IMO. At least of the high profile players

Is this true even when there is a coaching change? That doesn't seem fair at all to the kids.

The only in conference transfer penalty is if they haven't entered the portal by July 1

Aggie has the money to keep them.
With what coaches?
It’s hard to see this coming when you’re literally in the midst of playing for the biggest game your school has seen in almost a century, and your coach is simultaneously pillaging the entire program right under your nose. I don’t think ANYONE would expect that.

Texas isn't in the SEC until next week

The transfer dates for sec vary for sports based on time of year.

I believe they referred to it as the "Lincoln Riley Rule"

Well, that didn’t answer my question.

Again, what you have suggested requires your coaching staff and players to be on board with that. That shows at least some level of disdain for A&M.

In conference transfers can play so long as they enter the portal by July 1.
You may recall Luke Holman and Michael Braswell.

Isn't there a conference rule where you have to sit a year if you transfer in conference or does that only apply to football?
There was, but I'm not sure where that stands after the DOJ/NCAA settlement a couple of months back. The NCAA essentially agreed to toss all transfer rules out the window.
