I note this kids next best offer was from Wake Forest.... He should just go to a great school like Wake Forest and have a great college experience and forget about trying to compete for a linebacker position at Bama......where I would say he has exactly 0% chance

Saban has been recruiting at Bama for damn near 10 TEN years. This is nothing new for him or for any coach/program recruiting at a big time school. I don't see an issue, this happens all the time.

I get the feeling that many AU fans got picked last for kickball in P.E. in grade school. That's why this is a sore subject.
By the way, greyshirting is a thing, because it is. Schools use it. If he stopped taking visits, then that's on him. Likely he was told this was a possibility early on.
John Parker Wilson was *GASP a greyshirt under Mike Shula...he had an offer from Ole Miss.

Recruits flip on schools everyday...this is the reverse.
