One factor that you are overlooking and I think it played a huge factor in last years game with LSU is adversity. Clemson didn’t get challenged that much last year and LSU did have a few hard games. Clemson had been kicking most everyone’s arse they played where LSU had a couple of games they had to scrap a little. When LSU started making things hard for Clemson they started to struggle and it started getting them frustrated and Clemson started to make more mistakes. This year Bama can do the same to them.

Most valid point in this thread. But who is making it hard on Bama this year before the playoff?

I guess we’ll see. But OM this year isn’t Auburn last year. And Clemson isn’t UGA.

It just feels like Clemson got all the pieces in place to win it all this year. A lot of those guys could’ve gone pro but they came back to win a NC.

If Bama pulls it off, then hats off to you.

Well should Bama & Clemson meet up in the NC game and both teams walk into the stadium in the same shape they are in right now then this will be the healthiest Bama team to play Clemson since 2015 or 16. So that could be an X factor. Plus Bama got drilled the last time they played them so they kind of owe Clemson one. So that factors in too. Bama has not played in the NC game in a few years so they will be the more hungry team too.

Dude. Stetson is 5’10” and you had a bunch of INTs off tipped passes. Lawrence isn’t gifting you those.

And looking at your defense, Etienne runs for 200 on y’all.

You are thinking Clemson could stop Alabama, while the #3 defense could not.....

Alabama would have over 400+ yards of offense, and most likely win by 14.

If you think Bama beats Clemson by 14+ with your defense this year, I want some of what you’re smoking.

Lawrence and Etienne will be out for blood. They both skipped out on guaranteed 1st round draft picks for it.

It could be done but it would require some turnovers or stealing an extra possession with an onsides kick. Gotta get a few extra possessions. This game if it happens will be a shootout. Clemson isn’t stopping Bama and Bama won’t stop them.

Yep, all you can do. I think Bama can move the ball, but can you slow down Etienne and still cover Trevor and those receivers? I’m shocked at the defensive regression in the SEC.

I’m not worried about those receivers, Surtain and Jobe will be fine.

My main concerns are inexperience at DL and LB

Right now we are starting

DE: Eboigbe - Sophomore
NT: Dale - Sophomore
DE: Barmore - Redshirt Sophomore
OLB: Anderson - Freshman
ILB: Harris - Sophomore
ILB: Moses - Redshirt Junior (coming off ACL tear)
OLB: Allen - Redshirt Junior

These guys need to improve A LOT. Clemson’s O-line isn’t amazing tho so we should be able to get some pressure at least

You're right though, frick Pete Golding. Gus firing Ellis Johnson the day after getting embarrassed in the Iron Bowl and Golding not only keep his job but getting a raise after getting embarrassed in the IB will never not amaze me.

True, but Trevor isn’t prone to turnovers, and he’s got Etienne back as a senior safety valve. That’s a tall order.

Neither does M.Jones and I'll take N.H
over T.E. any day of the week and 2×on Sunday!

Clemson will slow down Bama’s run game, even with Harris. Mac will be forced to throw. On the other side, Clemson will have success in the run game. Sorry but O line and RB is a Clemson advantage.

Etienne will be the first RB to go in the draft.

Sorry? No, just dumb!

Without J. Ross at wr Bama will hold their own against the Clampon receivers, Etienne and She-he.

The problem is if we can't keep UGA RBs with Stetson throwing to low yards oer carry how will we keep Etienne with Sunshine throwing???

Man you guys let one half manipulate you into thinking Golding is competent when the reality is Golding got lucky UGA's OC was dumb enough to forget they were getting 6 to 7 yards a pop running the ball and started throwing every down.
