It all worked out. Our defense bailed your defense out, lead by our defensive mastermind Will Muschamp.

Please help Mizzou out! I just do not see Mizzou winning because Muschamp wants revenge very badly! Drinkwitz beat him when he was at Appalachian State and Mizzou won last year. How can Mizzou stop South Carolina? Mizzou is hurting at key postion due to injuries and COVID -19.

You know, honestly, Ole Miss defense has been bad for years regardless of DC or their recruiting rankings on that side. I could list 3 pages of recruits on defense that never lived up to expectations.

Some say it’s Ole Miss people who rank recruiting and hate losing stars to MSU and give them a boost to look good. I don’t know, but it’s been obvious for years that these so called top defensive players at Ole Miss have destroyed their careers, or, as Mullen once put it “We didn’t lose anyone we wanted.”

It does appear to me that WR’s go to Ole Miss and defense goes to MSU.

He still isn’t getting fired this year.

You’re right. He’ll get fired January 1 when his buyout goes down.

Every single program is bleeding money. A significant number of people in important positions don’t think they should be playing at all and even more view this as an exhibition season.

I know the standard arguments that boosters pay the buyout, but these are not normal times. You are buying out the head coach, assistant coach, and then paying the buyouts of all the people you hire.

Presidents aren’t going to go for the look of that cost when the athletic department is tens of millions in the red no matter where the money comes from.

National signing day is Feb 3, 2021. Fire him Jan 1 and your head coach will be the guy coaching Spartanburg high this season.

Not you couldn't. All of our big recruits the last few years have been offensive signees. I don’t think we have a single 4* non-JUCO defensive player that played last night. I can only think of one that isn't a true freshman (Jaylon Jones) on the defense period actually and he has torn his knee up twice and isn't playing.

Our last big signee was Benito Jones who graduated last year after a good career.'

I got curious and looked it up and since the 2017 class, Ole Miss has signed 3 defensive 4* players out of HS. One transferred after redshirting in 2017 and the other two are currently true freshmen. We've also had 2 JUCO 4* in that time frame, so 5 total over 4 classes.

Mullen boys is an idiot. We struck out recruiting defensive players for the last couple of years. You can thank Fatt Luke’s #MississippiMade recruiting strategy.

Muschamp wants that buyout check very badly.

Y'all will win. He'll make it look like he gives half a frick but his defensive prowess will once again be mysteriously absent and will lead to yet another L.

With programs across the country losing money and COVID cases soaring, I can see the season not being completed.
