Nice post carboardboxer.
Aggies are part of the SEC and we appreciate and respect you guys tremendously. This move is a little uncomfortable for the Ags, but it is overall good for the conference. Sometimes you have to put aside some differences for the good of the conference when you are called to do so.
All that said. The Ags are going to kick some arse going forward so you don’t have anything to worry about.
Love the Ags and you are a great poster. Look forward to hanging with you on the rant for a long time coming.

Thanks bigD. Over the years I have come to appreciate your opinion as the definition of impartial so it means a lot. I also really appreciate your SEC representation, I think the Florida group overall on here might have the highest average star rating if I can use a recruiting term.
As far as the move, it will all work out in the end. It’s a certainty that Texas has asked for some sort of accommodation, and the SEC accepting them but boning them in some way would get our yes vote and be a proper welcome to the conference. The process just has to play out a little first.

Thanks for all your posts about Colorado, I appreciate getting a perspective from someone who live in PACland.
But give it a week and you won’t be as mad. This isn’t about us, it’s about the sport reconfiguring itself for a break away. The last ten year have been great but the landscape is about to be a new thing soon.

Good post. We give one another a lot of crap, but the SEC is special and it's because of the fans. That's what makes the rant so interesting.

I'm not mad. I'm just done with being nice - time to start spreading the money around and be the villain they all want us to be
I contacted the A&M office yesterday to see what I can do to start paying the players as well. New World, and A&M can count on only themselves

It’s good to let the real emotions out. No need to put up the front now. The gloves are off amongst the Ags and Horns (sorry OU, not really any hatred here). I’m ready to sit back with my popcorn.

It's not that I don't get it, I absolutely do. I fricking loathe Texas and I remember all of the horror stories that came from being conference mates with them. However, it's because of that hatred that I will enjoy watching them get smoked in multiple sports on an annual basis. They won't have the political stranglehold on the SEC that they had in the SWC or the Big 12 and that's good enough for me.
On the field/court, I'm not the least bit worried. It's already been fun rubbing their nose in shite routinely in football/basketball/baseball since we split ways. The fact we get to go back to doing it on an annual basis is only a plus to me. I look forward to watching that entire athletic department get served a huge piece of humble pie. The fact they came crawling to another conference because the one they essentially run sucks dick only makes it more entertaining. Especially after the halftime show Texas gave us in our last year in the SWC throwing shade for leaving, now here they are joining the same damn conference.
It's all about perspective.

Well, Sidewalk, with NIL you can now pay players. Perhaps that $10 for your 7-Eleven pay will make a difference for LSU?

Ditto to this post. Their newbs on here already seem like self-conscious little pricks. Joining the SEC will boost their recruiting a bit. But the fact is, the conference is just that difficult. Obviously, a 2 or 3 loss team could be in line for this 12-team playoff we hear about. That said, nobody can assume they’ll be in consistently except Bama while Saban is still around.

Thank you for calling us on our shite especially during the Jimbo years. Without the banter opposing your team you become a nobody on the Rant, like Vandy fans or something (please don’t kill my 401k Vandy fans).
We will love the game when it’s back. We will like that LSU pod floating around yesterday. We will like the extra money in case we ever need a Jimbo bailout. But first things first tu won’t come for years and I have hopes for my team the season after next.
