And I didn't know of one LSU fan that said "the rules must changed". You all laughed at LSU.

Edit: you guys are seriously spoiled, man.

there are no regulations, caps, or rules on how much collectives can pay for recruits.

take boosters out of the equation and NIL would actually reflect market value for NIL. Their activities have always been regulated and scrutinized, right? (i don't know the nuances admittedly). Strict pay for play is still not allowed, right?

it is now very hard to even pretend many players actually give a crap about the school the fans love and who finance the sport. at least before NIL i could pretend. Bama is a perfect illustration of how attached players are to their respective schools.

I know i'm old, old school but i'd take the old prohibitions with a NCAA or some entity with enforcement powers and true market value NIL than this shite show, no matter whose oxe is getting gored now.

why? i truly believe the sport is in danger. My first game in TS was in 1959 and I bought season tickets with my first post-graduation pay check, and i'm getting a sickning feeling about the future of CFB.

Sadly, Washington is in much worse shape than Bama. Bama’s getting all the attention due to the publicity of Saban’s retirement being the first domino.

So DeBoer ruined 2 schools at the same time.

Not a single one of those guys have entered the portal, so I’m not sure that’s the best argument here.

Once Bama and Washington gets done being raped, they might try to tweak NIL portal some.

No, there are a multitude of problems with what we’re currently seeing.

But none of those problems were an issue for you until now. This isn’t new, you’re just on the wrong end of it now.

Do you see where this comes across as whining because the shoe is on the other foot now?

Because that’s exactly what you and the rest of bama nation are doing. It wasn’t an issue before but NOW…. NOW this HAS to be fixed.

Keep crying.

Maybe your coach shouldnt lie to recruits to get them signed, then abandon them after early signing day.

No mention of stealing GT's best Running back or cherry picking from other's rosters in the past few years, but heaven forbid other teams start poaching 5 star players from your team.

As many have mentioned (and you're willfully ignoring here because trolling is your thing), incoming Bama transfers have always happened during the standard portal windows. Even then, Bama has received between just 2-4 incoming transfers a year.

Currently, Bama is dealing with an extended, one-way transfer portal window with very little existing in the standard portal at the moment. Why did the NCAA think this extra portal was a necessary step in the transfer process? No clue. Seems dumb even in theory, and looks even worse in practice. Only reason you're celebrating it is because it's happening to a team you hate.

Even though this is happening to my favorite team, rather than be a bitter little bitch and cheer for it to happen to one of our rivals in the future, I would hope they fix it, as it's ultimately punitive to allow 120+ teams in the country a chance to enter an open bidding war on your roster with no practical means of backfilling any losses for at least another few months.

It's easy to fix, and should be.

And then beat Alabama and won the West in year one. Stop whining, if you hired the right coach, you'll be fine.

Congress can’t do anything but fight among themselves. If we are waiting for them to actually do something about this mess we are gonna be waiting a very long time.

Getting your roster raided by a team that mercy-kneed you at home.

I have nothing but respect for Bama but I’d be rather bitter in their shoes right now.

They want collective bargaining to establish an NIL cap. Then after the legitimate NIL is established, they can slip in keys to a Dodge Charger under the table to sweeten the deal.

Or hit up the children’s hospital funds and give an underachieving OL 180k
