I agree with all that

Nah. Players want to play in the NFL on top of NiL and its too easy to frame anything not SEC as "not big boy football." SMU will have a hard ceiling on how well they can recruit.
They might end up as the new OU: they use mid level Texas talent to boatrace through their conference only to get arse blasted in the playoffs. Which given their recent history would be a huge improvement.

Come on you know Aggie was educating students three years before your campus started construction

SMU is a real threat. I’m not mad at them, they have played the system perfectly, beyond perfectly.
They have a serious chance to become what Miami was.
That’s not hyperbole.

I guess we can wait to see how the playoffs play out. I have yet to drink the SEC koolaid, and I still like the idea of parity, so if Texas doesn't win I want a non-SEC team to figure out a way to win it all.
Even if SEC does dominate, I'd still prefer a playoff system that limits the number of teams from each conference for the sake of parity. But I'm an old-timer.

I would not care too much in a 16 team playoff where conference champs do not receive a first round bye. I think Boise State at #3 is bs.

Texas has 4 undisputed poll era national titles.
Texas Light has 1 undisputed poll era national title. Aggy had to add some retroactive claims just to make themselves look good for the SEC.

I’ve been starting to think MtVernon is Randolph Duke. All he posts about is A&M and you only get that obsessed with a rival school if one them fricked your wife.

Not even close. You just remember the A&M stuff because it hits the nail on the head.

You’re wrong. I’m right.

As a neutral observer, I’m not sure how A&M could be regarded as big brother in any sense. Texas has an overwhelming lead in the series and significantly more championships.
Not only that but the obsession A&M fans have with Texas is weird. You see "HORNS DOWN" shirts everywhere at A&M games even when they aren't playing them.

Not sure what “Quess” means. Is that some gay term at UTrans?
