The lack of elite QBs will make the schedule manageable in my opinion. We can score with anyone and our defensive line will one of the most disruptive in the SEC. Georgia doesn’t look good because they can take advantage of secondary issues and make stops on D. Michigan has the D but I don’t think they can score enough. Weigman is decent if he’s still alive in November.

they only have 3 true SEC road games this year and 1 of those is Nashville -

being the 'road' team in Dallas v Oklahoma helps their overall outlook -

kinda peculiar both Texas & Alabama visit Nashville in this first year bridge schedule of 16 teams

flip UTA's home/road for 2024 and they'd have trips to Athens Gainesville Starkville & Lexington - a much different challenge - more akin to everyone else's -

This. I think Florida and A&M will be better than the pundits think

What’s easy about it?

they could lose @Michigan, @Arkansas, @Kentucky and @A&M

Also OU and UGA. OU owns them and they aren’t in UGAs league and it’s the week after OU.

I easily could see them 8-4

People exaggerate when they talk about the 'easy' Texas schedule.
Texas plays the last 2 teams to win a natty. Also, Oklahoma always gives Texas fits. As far as the other 6 SEC teams Texas will play, we don't really know how good any of them will be until they actually start the season.
Dude, do you even “coping aggie”

This will destroy their desperate narrative

The average ratings of their players suggest they have quite a lot of talent. I think y’all are better on paper but if A&Ms QB is healthy he could be difficult to beat. The question really is where is our OL. Last year the OL coaching was awful. That combined with injuries pretty much got Jimbo fired. Talent wise they have the players up front, and losing our NG to an ACL tear was brutal. If the OL gels, they win ballgames. We should know a lot after we see them against ND.

A&M has a much easier schedule than Texas and no tough road games.

Literally the only place I've seen it said we have an easy schedule is right here on the rant. Don't think Sagarin and others who do sos agree with that sentiment, and certainly no real Texas fan thinks '24 will be a cakewalk.

You have three hard games. Michigan, Oklahoma, Georgia.

You have two dogshit OOC games.... CSU and Monroe

You have a dogshit SEC game with Vandy...

You have one OOC game where you are playing a team that is clearly overmatched...UTSA.

You have two SEC games where you are playing teams that are clearly overmatched...Arkansas and Miss State... and you should win on form.

You play a Kentucky team in Austin that is well coached but still overmatched.... and rarely beats a team as good as this Texas one will be.

You play a Florida team that in Austin that might be better but is still won't a vintage Florida team.

And you end the season with an Aggie team that will either be on fire or will be completely despondent by the time they get to that game.

Texas should do no worse than 9-3 against this schedule.

What would Texas record be if they had the Gators or Sooners schedule? Upvote for 9 wins or less. Downvote for 10 wins or more.

Decent points but surely you don't think UT playing at A&M this next year is going to be an easy game. No matter what their record or how good they are, they will be extremely ready to play that game. Only a fool would think otherwise.

I was a little surprised the Texas only got UGA from the “better” SEC teams. No Bama (for obvious reason), but no LSU, Ole Miss, Tennessee, or Mizzou either. Their schedule could have been much harder.

Michigan is going to be a completely different team than the one we saw in the national championship. They lost their HC and huge chunk of their roster to the NFL and transfer portal. Not nearly as good of a team.

No, we are going to suck balls. Gators have no chance this year.

I think A&M has a tougher schedule. But, I don’t think Michigan is going to be a good team this year. They lost their HC and most of the good players on their team to NFL and portal. I think ND is going to be the better team this year compared to Michigan.
Texas has both Vandy and Kentucky while A&M has Missouri and Auburn.
Texas has GA and A&M has LSU.
Both play us and both will win.

OU fan saying they play a dogshit OOC schedule.

Hope you can survive your murderers row of

Temple
Houston(worst team in the b12)
Tulane(lost HC, QB, and half their team to the portal)
Maine

And coming off last year of

Arkansas State
Tulsa
SMU

One of 4 teams with no P5 opponents

Every SEC jackclown with a podcast is crying in their beer about the easy schedule gifted to Texas. They want to frame the narrative incase Texas has a nice season.

Actually, because a certain guy got caught cheating, the guy who was their head coach for many games last year is back. Michigan is loaded with talented guys. They will have a great defense & a great o-line and will run the ball like crazy. They won the friggin' national title. They won't suck over night.

No, I don't think an A&M team that has high hopes that are dashed during the season will hold up against a Texas team that is on a huge roll.

Conversely, I think a Texas A&M team that is on a roll might likely win.

I'm not saying that A&M won't give great effort in the game. I just don't think they will beat Texas without being good themselves... and A&M is the wildcard team in the league IMO.
