1/2 of the SEC teams play that many tough teams regularly each year. Texas is new to it, so I can understand them complaining about being left out whereas the rest of the SEC understands they have to survive the SEC first and that the road to the National Championship goes through the SEC first.

This is SOOOOOOO the Texas we warned you guys about. Fairness and the same rules for everyone does NOT apply to the teasips.

As they were so proud to proclaim 20 years ago through their AD DeLoss Dodds "others try to keep up with the Joneses; we ARE the Joneses!"

What they are is assholes.

Wait, you're telling me Kirby scored, kicked an onside and scored again? I had no idea....

We dont get to claim Mizzou or LSU as a ranked opponent.

You can claim Mizzou as a ranked opponent since they are 25 in the AP, though I wouldn't personally rank them in the top 25.

This is why NIL money should have to be reported. You could use the totals to pick one team over the other in this situation.

"unfortunately Tx outspent Vandy 3 to 1, therefore we are going with the team that actually did more with less. Congrats Vandy!

so when bama and ole miss were lobbying to get in last season it was different?
You know that this happens every year right? There are always teams who fight to get in. It's a very normal process. It has no impact on who's getting in and who's going to be left out. This is a message board. We talk sports. Stop being overly dramatic.

Was that game truly 4 possessions or did UGA go for it twice on 4th and then kick an onside kick?

Kiddos for UGA for sure but if we are going to dissect every game that was a game through 3 quarters

It's very simple. Losing to OSU is not why Texas is being left out. Losing to Florida is. If Texas had a relatively close early loss at OSU to go with getting drummed by Georgia they would be in. Unfortunately they went to Gainesville and got beat. Hell, UF even tried all they could to give that game away but Texas couldn't pull it off.

Texas also was incredibly lucky to pull off the MSU and Kentucky games, both of which are terrible teams.

Texas had 3 really nice wins but it's still about the full resume.

BTW, I don't blame Sark for going on his little whining tour. He's advocating for his team and that's his job. Other coaches of bubble teams should be doing the same.

sorry but i have to disagree with you. Kirby did what he always does and drug his nuts all over Sark's face. Instead of worrying about the playoffs we need to worry about why our coach can't fricking beat Day or Smart....hell he can't even beat Deboer.
That's what we should be talking about since it appears he'll be back next season. We have no prayer of winning it all even if we did get in. Not until Sark gets his head out of his arse.

You people are delusional. If Texas plays Rice instead of Ohio State, we’re ranked 9 right now

Personally, I think it's great that 7 SEC teams could make a case for getting in and at least 3 of them will likely feel slighted in some way when the field is announced. Yes, Texas does have a legitimate argument. They also have more pull than your average university. I'm fine with them making an argument as long as they don't abuse their political power.

oh the irony about dramatics! You don't even notice the difference between lobbying for the perceived strength of your team vs threatening to take your ball and go home and cancel a scheduled game if you don't get your way!

y'all really are pathetic pussies.
