In every other sport it's more about where you are at the end of the season vs the beginning.
If we weren’t just 3 weeks removed from a 4 possession loss for Texas
It’s not like all of them were in September

Vandy was top 10 when we played them. This isn't rocket science.
Oh, so they're still in the Top Ten?
He should just state they've played 4 Top Ten teams like they actually have. It looks worse trying to beef up the stats with that "when we played them"

Never said it was. I also clearly said I don't think we deserve to go...but they hypocrisy here is hilarious. You'd be screaming bloody murder in our position and don't pretend you wouldn't.

it's still twice as many as every other team in the playoffs this year but I'm sure you'll find a way to spin that as well.

Easy hoss, I’m just entertaining the argument, just like you are. I’m simply saying 3 losses would be more easily excused if they were in September.

fair enough. I don't give a shite about any of this. This fraud couldn't win it all even if we did go so we're really only complaining that we don't get a chance to watch another coach teabag sark on national tv again when we play someone like Georgia.

See above. I'm not spinning shite. Sark is. He should just state what is true.

Ok honest question to you:
Did Texas improve this year after the Florida game?
Would you and the nation rather see Texas play Oregon or Oregon play north Texas, Tulane, etc?
Do you want to incentivize this behavior or reward teams for hard scheduling?

Texas isn’t beating anyone in the playoffs with Arch Manning at the helm.
Posted on 12/2/25 at 1:59 pm to hookem33
Look at the top 10 and point out the number of teams yall played. Your resume is respectable enough without manipulating it. Where someone was at the time of playing them is meaningless. We dont get to claim Mizzou or LSU as a ranked opponent. Doing so would be dishonest.
Losing to Florida killed texas. Enjoy the citrus bowl. Its a respectable bowl.

This isn't hard. Whenever the media talks about "top 10 wins, top 5 wins" they are using the same metric that Sark is. You don't have to agree. I doubt anyone cares. I'm just using the same standard that has been used for decades.
We're not going so I don't even know what everyone is crying about honestly.

Take away the OOC Ohio State game and Texas is anywhere from 6-8 tonight in the rankings (ahead of OU who they beat H2H).
The BTA in Athens is more due to Kirbys coaching than really being out played. It was a 1 score game in the 4th. The great call for an onside kick forced Texas into desperation play calling which is how the score got so lopsided. Let us not forget that same Florida team was 1 terrible officiating call away from potentially having another ranked win against a top 10 opponent (Georgia).
My question in response is do you think ND deserve to be in when they haven't beaten anyone in the top 30 and lost their only two real games (Miami and A&M)? Should OU be in over Texas when they have a 1-2 record against CFP contenders (Texas has a 3-2 and beat OU 23-6 on a neutral field). Should Alabama when they lost to FSU who got smacked by that same Florida team that beat Texas and lost to OU (who Texas beat). Granted they did beat UGA so that ones a toss up IMO. Should BYU be in when their only quality win is against Utah and they have the 38th FEI SOS (Texas has the 4th). Should Miami be in when they've only beaten ND and have 2 non-ranked losses?

But on the other hand, do we really need a 3 loss team, including to an otherwise 3 win Florida and very recent belt to arse in Athens, in the playoffs

lmao from the team who really has played no one. Tech is going to get skull fricked in the playoffs.

tech fans are so funny. played an entire season against air, they don’t know what’s coming

I want to see them play the ags. I want that game more than any other. SEC fans don't understand how deep the hatred is between those two.

Did they improve, yes. Did they improve enough to prove they are deserving of a playoff spot? No.
Hypotheticals of which games look better on paper are pointless. At some point you have to actually earn something in college football.

all this is really going to do is destroy OOC schedules going forward. Maybe that needs to happen anyway. You just risk injuries going into a grueling SEC schedule when you play a game like that early.
Sucks for the fan but it's clear now that who you play isn't all that important. Hell Tech is going to get a top 4 seed without playing a team with a pulse. That's how you do it.
I'm fine with it.

I understand the argument, I really do...but some of your brethren's incessant whining over this is becoming rather unseemly.
The ags were fricked in 2020...we complained about it for a couple of days...then we let it go.
We are going on 5 days now of "whiny bitch" from Sark and many posters on here.
I believe you made your point and no one will blame you if you schedule SH, Coastal Carolina, Samford and UTSA next year while telling OSU to pound sand.
