You do realize that the majority of attention Texas gets from other SEC teams around his is simply pointing and laughing, right?

You think we care?

We have our own issues to worry about. What sec fans think isn't even on the radar.

I was told by a friend that donates a bunch of money to Texas athletics that Sark had to produce this year. This was the year. And if you think the timing of this is suspect, Texas just got royally whipped this weekend by UGA

I'm not trying to dig into too deep of wounds here, but away games @OSU, @UGA and @UF (in most years for UF) would be hard for anyone to win. OSU and UGA are arguably the best 2 teams since 2020 overall. OU is a rival game so that is going to be a "50/50" type game. Even if you split OSU and UGA and beat OU, you were likely always going to lose one more just because it's hard to win in CFB especially on the road.

I thought 10.5 wins was always a crazy regular season win total. People really had UT beating OSU kind of in pen and that was always delusional (not saying they couldn't win of course but it's not like OSU is Maryland)

Yeah, but they lost to a crappy Ohio State team

I mean, if you can’t beat that crappy Ohio State team…

Nationally Texas is relevant, and this thread helps to prove my point.

You either like Texas or you hate them enough to care to engage the content. Doesnt matter to a network, media outlet, etc. The fact is it get eye balls.

Actually the universities both get the same share from the states Oil Trust. If you mean alumni, then TAMU by a mile, there is a reason we had a campus in the ME, and an Aggie alumni crown prince

I actually didn't. I had put Indiana but then had to erase it since they are good now then thought of another team who usually isn't very good in the conference

This was the year for Texas from a roster standpoint. Ewers is gone, and the golden boy they paid MILLIONS for is the QB. Hill, Simmons, Wingo - that roster is loaded with talent. Interviews show Sark has been pointing to this year. My guess is that he was given an ultimatum before the year began, and it has just continued to go downhill. Do you get rid of a coach that is perennially in the playoffs just because you didn't meet expectations?

No sane school does, but the boosters with more money than sense don't agree. If Sark wants to continue in college some program will snap him right up. My guess is he wants nothing to do with CFB anymore, and would gladly take an OC position in the NFL

I would be fine with that, not thrilled but ok.

Personally I am making Saban and Kirby turn me down. Then going after Freeman, maybe Lane (dont want him but could be fun), Lanning, Day, or Whittingham

The transfer portal will be on fire like never before in a few weeks due the crazy coaching carousel.

Get educated. You are obviously not qualified to comment. It’s known as Permanent University Fund, or PUF. There are other sources of income besides oil and gas. Texas and A&M do not share equally in the PUF. Texas has a few more percentage points. Pretty obvious as well, that you have never been a student at either school. If you had, you would have known this. Most educated folks in the state from both schools know this widely disseminated public knowledge.

Depends on your expectations. If simply being there is good enough, and it would be for a lot of programs, then yeah, keep him.

If you more, he wasn't the guy. I just thought he had one more year before they'd finally pull the plug.

Well despite who they hate, the Sark defenders are looking at the Charlie and Herman years, and rightfully not wanting to risk going back down that path.

But here's the other side - since the roll-out of NIL, etc - we have BMD's that have dumped shameless truckloads of cash into this thing. And frankly, this season will be no better than a Herman season.

The list of grievances goes on forever. But in summary, are you aware that even in our 2 playoff years - defense is what carried this team. Our offense under Sark has been plus or minus pedestrian the whole time he's been here. Far less than pedestrian in Sark's 5th year. And that's the side of the ball he refuses to let go of.

(ended with a preposition, I don't care)

nah. the Portal is going to be crazy completely independent of the coaching situation.

there is only one Portal period and december will be absolutely insane.

Urban would be interesting. He's a heck of a coach. His one main blindspot right now would be is that he has no NIL/Portal experience.
