But also he wouldn't let her leave. Don't want to leave that part out.

Im calling it now. Texas wont fire or suspend Chris Beard.
I do think he will be fired and if this is true, he absolutely should be.
But I won't be surprised if not. Big payoff, victim recants, lover's quarrel, all a big misunderstanding, we're going to therapy, etc.

Correct. The fact that he was charged so quickly is telling.
Let it all play out of course, however, Beard is not playing from a hand of strength. He definitely will not coach game tonight and most likely will be suspended EOD and ultimately fired.
He'll likely be "indefinitely suspended" until more comes out or until the season ends. Both scenarios likely end up with him being formally terminated.

If all of that stuff happens in the last sentence you wrote, I'd be happy if Texas supported them in their journey through that, just not while also employing him to lead a varsity athletic team on the campus for $5+ million salary per year.
For a coach that preaches "culture", you have to send a message that actions like this are not, and will never be, a part of the culture at UTexas

I, too, would like to wager you on this.
Based on your confidence level, I bet you're willing to go at least a $100, right?

The pussies that have no power are the liberal nutjobs. The same people that saved The Eyes will step in here.

It's good to see the adult Texas posters knocking your bitch as s out. This isn't joking material you count.

I will step in on pioneers behalf, and on behalf of charity. I will wager $100 that the Texas Longhorns do not fire Beard in the next 14 days. If I win, you will donate $100 and post proof of it to the charity of my choice. I agree that the charity will be one that is not personally offensive. Or outside your belief structure. And I will agree to the same if I lose.
How about it?
How about it?

I don't care what you think. I don't care what they think.

We all know what is happening. The lawyers at Texas are getting the paperwork all lined up. Beard won't coach the game tonight. Beard will likely be give the option to resign tomorrow and surrender all claims to his contract. If he refuses to do this, he gets fired & the full weight of the university is marshalled to crush his strangling arse.

It probably says there’s more to it… I don’t agree with guilty until proven innocent. Now, do I believe in paid administrative leave for a LEO who has shot someone, yes. But not punitive or positive. Let the facts come out. (I’m sure beard fricked up, but it’s pretty weird that we aren’t finding more out by now - it’s almost impossible to hide doing bad things that would be on record like in this situation).

The fact he was charged with a 3rd degree felony less than 12 hours after it occurred tells me the evidence is strong.

He is suspended now per ESPN
