A 10-2 Texas makes the playoffs, we can agree on that. It doesn't matter what wins we had to get there because we beat the dog piss outta aggy and OU.

But you are out of the playoffs because you lost to a Cupcake

It's very telling that all of our rivals want us to play tougher OOC games while saying they don't matter

I’m not paid enough to come up with reasons for the committee.

OU is as deserving as any other 10-2 team based on season results. We’re just not a sexy team because of our offense.

Vanderbilt is a great squad and they have a great story.

Texas had they not lost to Florida would be the highest 2 loss team. It wasn’t Ohio State that will keep them out but it’s a lesson learned for all schools. Highly ranked non conference matchups will be a thing of the past.

As I said, I completely expect it from aggy. That's all aggy doesn't, complain about big brother.

Hoseag80 is no different from the rest with his aggy talking points.

Manning was learning.

The funny thing is, all of the accolades he got this year- he may deserve them next year. He is night and day different than he was at the start of the season.

I don’t think it will happen though.

Texas fans know that they don’t deserve a playoff spot when other teams have a better resume (although you’re lying to yourself if you think Texas wouldn’t beat most of the teams that will get in ahead of them… I mean they beat 2 of them straight up with ease)

Hoping things would bounce their way but they didn’t

Still it’s really SAD that rival fans are on here bumping their chests over technicalities when they couldn’t tackle Texas themselves and got absolutely dominated

Not only did Texas dominate them. They couldn’t beat Texas in obvious rebuild year with a new OL and QB. Now they will get a fully reloaded Texas in 2026 while losing their top personnel and in the end will have nothing to show for it just like Texas.

Not looking good for the folks in Norman and college station…

Who knows the contractual obligations but if I am CDC I am 100% asking ESPN their thoughts on that, if they truly own the playoff they can direct us to whats more important to them.

May have to pay a small buyout but oh well, much rather make the money and be in the playoffs.

I dont think its as difficult a problem as people think. These are all power brokers and negotiations. Either ESPN and the networks want to keep these games or they dont. Sadly what is likely to happen is they will say sorry you got screwed this year but we are going to a 16 team format next year so it will resolve itself, so we will be the last team to get screwed.

Looks like aTm is losing quite a bit of starters. They'll probably take a step back next year, but Elko seems to find gems in the portal so who knows

Texas should be preseason Top 10 next year.

I was at the OU/Texas game. OU had the ball and was driving in the fourth quarter in a one-score game. We played our worst game of the year and Texas played its best, so I have zero idea why Texas fans think they’re guaranteed to beat us if we played again.

Anyways, I remember in 2023 when we beat UT and they made the CFP over us because we didn’t take care of business down the line. Very similar to this year except the position is reversed. And I know which position is better—give me the playoff every time over a win in October that no one besides us cares about in a week.

This year has been great regardless of how we do in the CFP. OU expected to go 7-5 and we make the CFP, UT preseason #1 and they’re playing in a meaningless bowl game. Can’t ask for much better as an OU fan.

People continue to act oblivious towards the Flordia loss as a deflection tactic. Like are you genuinely curious how they lost to Florida? Arch was struggling to complete check downs at the time if you don’t remember. We had no LG, it was a revolving door Florida exploited every snap. We had no healthy back to help Manning. We had two starting DBs out on a young secondary who was struggling with busts at the time. Like is it really that inconceivable that a Florida Team that was in one possession games with A&M, Ole Miss, and Georgia in the 4thQ could upset a very dysfunctional Texas team at Home? I think Texas was capable of losing to lesser teams than Florida in that part of the season.

Neither team did anything in the first half, though the score is at least 10-9 or more likely 17-10 Texas if obvious PI/holding is called on Texas’ first two drives… Texas bitchslapped A&M in second half… A&M never looked to be threatening .. that’s domination

And in a “down” year for Texas… next year Texas is better and A&M roster is down… but the real scary fact for Aggies is yall play a real schedule next year… given an absolute gift, this had to be y’all’s year, and A&M blew it
