At the end of the day, if Ron Holland wants to be a Razorback them he will be a Razorback.
If he was headed for the G-league then he would just go. He doesn't need Texas to release him for that.
Ron Holland is probably slow playing for the best NIL deal he can get.
Texas is only making themselves look bad with other recruits if they are going to try and impact their chances to make NIL money. It will definitely be used against them by other coaches while recruiting.

How exactly is he going to be a Razorback if we don't release him.

Y’all can’t just sit on it. Y’all have 30 days from when he requested the release to give your decision. If Texas doesn’t release him he’ll appeal.
And since we all know you have zero evidence of tampering since our coaching staff isn’t retarded, he’ll win the appeal and y’all will look stupid. Which is fine with me tbh.

Are we going to lose the appeal because of wishful thinking, or what? Can't imagine wanting more money is a valid reason for a NLI exception

For the 50th time or so, you will lose the appeal because your coach choked a woman

Only thing I'm sure of in this deal is that sips are a-holes.
Well, I’m sure you are very familiar with a-holes!

So wishful thinking. Got it. What you piggies need to understand is that you're at our mercy. Not the other way around. Know your role and shut your mouth.

The way this sets up is a no win situation for texas regardless of what the kid does and will be used against them in recruiting. A high profile kid changing his mind after the coach who he wanted to play for is fired?
So you force him to play for your team or forgo college basketball? I don’t see how that would hold up no matter what school he wants to go to other than texas.
I know the kid signed a contract, but who thought the coach would get fired like that?
Bad situation for sure.

Real simple you hired a coach, he beat up a girl you fired coach which means kid wins on appeal every time after 30 days. You have zero power because it's not the kids fault you idiots can't hire the right guy. This is as open and shut as it gets, kid never made it to campus but nice try at trolling as Arkansas takes your prize recruit you've been waiting on since Durant.

I would think you lose an appeal as the NCAA is basically in retreat at this point and trying to hold on to any remaining shred of legitimacy. While the Supreme Court case was in name focused on NIL, the language of the ruling, especially from Bret Kavanaugh, took aim at much broader concepts regarding the NCAA restricting competition.
And in this day and age of non-competes in general being on the way out, the concept of transfer restrictions is probably DOA.
So I can see the NCAA saying sure, head on over. They likely don't want to further erode the role they currently play.

Texas still has the mindset that if you keep all your conference members down you win by default. The coward approach.
In the SEC we believe tougher competition breeds success. An iron sharpens iron mindset. Obviously texas doesnt belong in the SEC

Bless your heart, it means so much to me that you care about the future recruiting efforts of our basketball program.

This is the kind of attitude that got Deloss Dodds curb stomped during the last round of conference Re-alignment…
Bold strategy

You hired a failed asst coach

No real school wanted him except the dumbass whorns
Maybe the root of all of your anger is because y'all wanted him all along and he chose to stay at Texas? Make sense

Ron Holland can take it to the Supreme Court then, or he can play in the G league.

This shite might work on aggies, but how dumb do you think we are?

I don't think the NCAA wants to go there, so they will just let him through on appeal.
I am guessing UIL rules in Texas will be under the gun eventually as well.
