It’s not a joke. It’s advertising. Crowing about who who think you are and will be in this league.
You don’t know you you are. In baseball and basketball you’re a team that sucks arse. In football you’re doing much better and could be the top of the league but at this moment still unproven against an SEC schedule.
So if we want to talk about what you ARE and not what you USED TO BE, you are a team that has to advertise what you used to be.
Because today you’re not a sports program anyone is all that worried about.
Frankly Aggies are way more worried about LSU than Texas. Hell we are more concerned about ND.
No one is worried about losing the Texas game. No one. And I am not talking about Aggies. I’m talking about the SEC.

I can hardly think of a state where the "Uof" University isn't considered the Big bro and the the other competing University is the "Little Bro" when it comes to sports and academics.
The exception would be Ohio...
Maybe South Carolina...
Possibly Indiana
Arizona is kind of a toss up anymore with the growth of ASU
Nevada is kind of like Arizona
Maybe South Dakota.
And for sure North Dakota. NDSU seems to have a bigger stick than UND for the past few decades.
