Nice to see your comments about Arkansas. It's not too far a stretch to say the RATIO of overall wins and losses over the long run in each sport will favor the Hogs (not looking back at the butt stompings you put on us in football over the last hundred years)

Arkansas Texas

Football 3 7
Basketball 7 3
Baseball 6 4
Men's T&F 7 3
Women's T&F 8 2
Women's BB 4 6

Overall 35 25

So Horn's, you may not care but this is a reasonable outlook.

I always felt, for many reasons, that Texas made the most sense in the B1G.

I am optimisitic about one thing. For generations, loser institutions that can't win anything that matters have been crying about (and blaming) Texas. I am hoping that the traiditon rich, proud and successful member insitutions of a conference like the SEC will have some dignity and personal accountability. That will be refreshing.

Glad to be in the SEC. This is the future of CFB. Glad to have a new and upgraded conference schedule.

TBH Oklahoma was the Big 12. OU won the vast majority of titles and dominated the Big 12. While it is enticing to keep winning all the conference titles i am supportative of the move to the SEC, it is the right time to move on.

Glad

Winning the Big-12 almost every season, beating Texas, and all the other wanna-bes, on the regular, had gotten stale.

We'll still be beating Texas on the regular, but now we have new blood to feast on.

I was all about the Pac-16 back in 2010 after Nebraska announced they were dipping out to kill their program to spite Texas.

I was looking forward to road trips to see Texas at Husky Stadium, Autzen, The Rose Bowl, etc.

Once Scott & Kliavkoff completely goat fricked that conference and it's doom was written into the stars my next choice up was the SEC.

Looking forward to visiting every stadium over the next few years except thank god we still don't have to go to Gaylord.

Sneezy, I kinda agree with the sentiment offered. Yet old Pac-12 and B1G used to be lever reasons why Texas admin acted too snooty for our own britches, as time has proven to our own detriment. The endless talk about the value of peer academic institutions, AAU membership, etc., being too important to discount had some merit, but the travel/logistics up and down the athletic ladder and across all sports always made those PAC-12/B1G options untenable.

So I am very happy to have Texas in the SEC now, especially from an athletic competitiveness and geographic sense.

However Sneezy, we didn't leave them all behind. Misery and blAme&M are sadly amongst us once again.

Excited. The Big 12 had become a joke. Very few big games in conference. Will be nice to have legit contendors coming to Norman many times a year.

I'm absolutely pumped to be in the SEC. For years and years, OU fans have complained about the schedule and the kickoff times, as well as the general stigma that comes with being in the Big 12. You're taking the greatest conference in collegiate athletics (and has been for some time now) and adding 2 historic programs and 2 of the biggest brands in the country. Will it be tougher? Absolutely it will, but that is what we've been clamoring for, for years now. Iron sharpens iron and it has shown itself in the CFP where OU looked outmatched in size, strength, and speed. Being in this conference is what is going to push your team to greatness. There is no off week, no bum team on the conference schedule, just dogfight after dogfight every single week. There will be 9-3 teams in this conference that are better than any 10-2 or 11-1 team in the Big 12 or ACC. It's just the way it is. The passion, the pageantry, the biggest stage, the brightest lights can all be found in the SEC. Am i glad to be here? You're damn right I am, and I know most Sooner fans are just as happy and honored to be here as well. Let's get this thing started!!!!

Would rather we went back to having the Big8 and get rid of the Tx teams but since that is never going to happen I’m glad we’re going to be playing some new teams.

A million percent thrilled. As a 15-year season ticket holder, It's about damn time I start getting my money's worth. It's going to be a hard transition for my Sooners but they will be better in the long run.

Very glad. I wanted OU to join in the last realignment back in 2010. Glad it’s finally here.

I am THRILLED to be out of the ten team/new XII, which is absolute hot garbage. The original 12 team XII was awesome, but...oh well.

Would I have preferred a Big 10 invite? yes. But the SEC is great too. Can't wait to visit all the campuses!

I understand it helps with the finances and recruiting. Not to thrilled about all the overconfident taunting and mud slung our way already. We can take it, just takes the shine off the move.

Plan on going to Oxford, heard the tailgate scene is great.

Very glad. Thankful for TAMU for telling Dodds to get fricked on the PAC16. Happy to get them and Arkansas back on the schedule. And the rest of the SEC. Big boy football.

Love the enthusiasm. I'm a fan of you being here even as I savage you on the boards. Remember, it's a sign of affection.
