I’m fine with 2:30. Majority of OU and Texas fans want the same. 11am is lame. I’ve been to a few 2:30 games before and it makes for a better time and atmosphere.

I would imagine ESPN will have a big say in the time slots. Many more important games in our conference have been given crappy time slots.

You're only ok with 2:30 b/c your attendance is not required at any of the fundraisers going on that night in Dallas.

TX-OU weekend is a giant University fundraiser with a football game in the middle.

That's why the 11am kickoff time is important, it gives people a chance to get out of South Dallas and back to the hotel with enough time to get cleaned up and head back out that night.

As someone else already stated, the number of eyeballs that ESPN is able to attract will be what determines the game time.

And it’s funny as shite to me that OP edited his original post that clearly stated that Del Conte ASKED, not demanded, to have the game time moved so OP could justify his little bitch fest. That, folks, is the definition of being a little bitch.

Hasn't your OU/TX game been at 11 am for the past 15 or 20 years. That's a long time. Is it some sort of tradition?

Texas is 1-1 in its last two against Alabama and Georgia and Alabama needed three officiating gifts - two in the final 3 minutes - to get that win.

The last decade has been hard, no argument, but Texas is not scared of either program. We look forward to the game in Tuscaloosa this fall and moving the all-time record to 8-2-1 against the Tide.

Slow your roll Babe. Y'all just got your arse kicked 2 years ago by 'Lil Ole' Arkansas. Y'all definitely aren't ready for Bama or Georgia.

I don't care as long as LSU home games are played at night.

We beat Bama last year, but the REC paid the refs to take a safety off the board, so we lost by 1.

Am I doing it right?

If all Vandy, Kentucky, Missouri and Carolina games are played at 1100, maybe we could have a deal.

True dat but its only money. What's money when you can treat a program and a fan base with a Crimson Tide type sense of self worth and a Vanderbilt trophy case like East Bumblefrick State University for a rent a win????

This is the most tu example of tu-ing that has ever tu-ed.

Maybe you clowns can destroy another conference or perhaps you have finally bitten-off more than you can chew. Regardless, everyone knows you will demand special treatment and behave like a spoiled-rotten beach 24/7.

Who cares about fundraisers? Perhaps just the rich small percentage of OU and Texas fans who have money to spend like it’s nothing? The majority of the fans want 2:30. It gives plenty of time before the game to banter back and forth, get boozed up, get fed the new and weird Fair food, then game time!
