technically no.
if there are not enough teams to fill the bowl slots, 6-6 teams with two FCS wins are allowed.
With so many schools on bowl bans this year, its a distinct possibility there won't be enough teams to fill the slots.

Much weaker than when? It has been getting stronger all day, actually a Hurricane now to the delight of the weather channel.
I would have liked to see it played sat or sun, I don't know the particulars of the contract or what else maybe scheduled at the stadium. But with the track of the storm moving west each update I think the move was prudent. With the manpower from S'port having to mobilize south and the possibility of 12+ inches of rain in the area (yes I know depending on where it goes) it was a decent decision.
Tech could offer refunds though, I imagine most people already planning on the trip would still make it for a weekend game now.

There is no reason at all that this game can't be played on one of those two days. I'm thinking that this still might be an option. If I was Texas A&M, I'd have everyone from the SEC commissioner to US Senators involved in fixing this fiasco.

12 games in a row... we don't have the depth to play 12 games in a row. Just forfeit the game, because not much else you can do.
Never play another directional school from LA ever again. Given how beat up A&M will be, probably not going to win four games this year at this point.

This is great for Florida:
#1 - I assume that Texas AM will have a couple guys still suspended.
#2 - Texas AM will not have played a single game in the new offense. They'll be breaking it in against Florida's D which is all advantage Florida while Florida will have had a warm up.

On a radio show in Ruston, Tech AD just admitted that ticket sales were slow and that HC Sonny Dykes was okay with a postponement because they had no film on A&M.
