Many Ags & Tigers have put on their church clothes this week and are attempting to clean up this place, one thread at a time.
I've forgiven him for previous indiscretions; I invite you to do the same .

Solid analysis. I think it will be a very good game, but I am not looking for a GOTY.

I also don't think the scores will be quite as high as you predict. I won't venture to pick a winner, but I think the winner will prevail by less than a touchdown.

The matchup reminds me of LSU @ Georgia in 2013 for some reason and I think it'll be a shootout that no one is expecting. Just got a feel about it.

Upvote. Fine, I'll stop being a dick. There's a pair of Ags on my shite list for just douching it up in a previous Ole Miss thread, but all other Aggies and Tigers are forgiven.

Very good analysis and refreshingly good post. What's it doing here?

MSU is lacking the Bowling Ball, who tore A&M up pretty good last year and I think would have again. But they of course still have Dak, who would scare anybody. If our DE's don't stay under control (like they didn't against Arkansas) I can see MSU having a big running day. But my guess is they'll "talk" about that problem quite a bit this week.

Offensively I don't expect Kyle or Kyle+Kyler to throw 3 picks like KH did last year, and I don't expect nearly as many drops by our WRs. The drops last year were maddening.

My guess is the margin is about what you predicted, but a TD less for both teams.

Great write up. Think the Ags will win, but should be a close game. Will definitely be an exciting night.

What does this even mean? No TDs? 2 receptions? 3 receptions? 30 yards? 50 yards? Let's see some numbers so I can ask you about your prediction next Sunday or I can congratulate you on your predictive skills. What does shut down mean to you?

3-5 receptions for less than 50 yards. Redmond is very good and I think he will give Kirk some fits when they are matched up. But Kirk is amazing, probably not possible to keep him completely quiet.

Excellent, excellent work. That is how you talk football.

I think it will be a good game. In the end, I think these two teams are evenly matched and being at home gives us a slight advantage.

Bold Prediction: Will Redmond shuts Kirk down.

I don't think that happens, but even if they do find a way to stop him (whatever that means) there are several other options out there to take his place. If MSU puts al their eggs into that basket, they are going to get burned all day.

There's absolutely no way the scores are that high.. Is Arkansas' defense THAT much better than MSU's?

See, this is why the transitive property doesn't work in college football.

Arkansas controls the shite out of the clock.. and by control I mean they drain it as fast as they can. Ten minute drives are their goal.

I believe we had like 40 something plays against Arky and despite averaging 9 yards per play we only scored 21 before overtime. Where in a normal game we'd look to have in the 70-80 range (where we would average around 40 points on the same scale).

So unless MSU comes out and drains the clock like Arky (very doubtful) we can expect to have a decent amount of more plays in the game for both teams compared to the Arky game.

So hopefully you can see this has nothing to do with whether your defense is as good as Arkansas. And the point of A&M won't score an amount of points against you because your defense is better than Arky's.. is somewhat flawed to say the least.

So this actually is a non troll thread? Hmm, interesting...

Well I think all SECW games are a big deal, just like they are for the east brethren. MSU had a legit shot at the end against LSU, so they definitely have my attention. Dak is probably the best QB in the West. And I like what Kyle Allen has done this year. He played very well last game.

A&M has much improving to do in defending the run, but can be very explosive on offense. I'm excited the A&M football team has another challenge and another chance to make some noise.

Quietly optimistic.

In my opinion 3 receptions would be a major shutdown. 5 receptions would be pretty solid defense and bordeline qualification for a shutdown but this would be yards dependent. 5 catches for 50 yards would be a shutdown for Kirk.

70+ yards is not shut down as long as it is on 5 catches or more. That would be a 14 yard average with 5 catches. I will taek that.

I am actually looking for around 7-9 receptions for 90 to 120 receiving yards from him. We will see how it goes. Haven't seen Redmond much at all. Sounds like this is a very good matchup.
