The same coach at aTm that watched their entire Running Back Corps hit the transfer portal

False statement.

Isaiah Spiller is the returning starter and he ran for nearly 1,000 yards.

Vernon Jackson was injured during the Spring and it was discovered he had a fracture in his neck that was precarious to the point where one wrong hit would paralyze him so he had to medically retire.

Don't know anything about Dell McGee. Is he a good recruiter?

The returning starter has more yards, carries, touchdowns and catches than every transferring running back leaving A&M combined for their careers.

I went to high school with Jay. He’s a good dude.

Look, I hate UT but if you had the chance to work at your Alma mater you take it.

Smoky Mountains or College Station? Easy choice.

Just see it as a situation of a guy getting offered by his alma mater and accepting the offer.

Except he was offered last off season and didn't accept the offer. Something changed. Maybe it's the problems we had in the running backs room, or maybe it's something else, like Jay just decided he did want to go home.

I see it this way...He played at Tennessee, and coached there as a GA in '05 under Fulmer, and in '12 under Dooley. He coached with Chaney in that '12 season (along with current DC Derrick Ansley) and was on the same staff with Pruitt in '13 at Florida State.

He is familiar and comfortable with this coaching staff, and is coming back to his Alma Mater.

I think it’s awesome!
Good for him.
ANYTIME someone can return home, it’s a blessing.
Best of luck to Graham and the Vols.

imagine your team losing a coach to Tennessee in a lateral move...ouch

That sums it up, plus , it could mean drama
queen holdout Zachary Evans (who Graham was
recruiting for A&M) will be following close behind.

Why is the term “daddy” so creepy to me?
Must just be my deal.
I’d never refer to myself as “daddy” to anyone.

Details of Graham's deal have been released. Base of $575,000 per year. He was making $550,000 at aTm.

I’d be quite happy with an additional $25K/year.
And Knoxville is a great town.
I’m sure he’s thrilled to be back home.
Good luck to y’all!
