SOURCE: Texas A&M is expected to hire former LSU strength coach Tommy Moffitt. Big addition for Mike Elko. Moffitt played a key role in the Tigers winning three national titles. Before that, he helped Butch Davis get Miami turned around. Football Scoop first reported the move.

Better than what Jimbo had after Schmitty left

That is a good hire for them.

dude has been at it so long he'll prolly give the player salt blocks instead of water breaks.

I love Moffitt, but he is very behind the times.

They just can't help themselves.

Another John Chavis hire. Both were past their prime when hired by A&M.

Funny how tamu tries to crap on LSU, but apparently will only hire LSU retreads.

Holy crap… I remember the salt pills back in the day. There was a salt pill dispenser in the locker room!

They also tried to steal Aranda when he was here, and now Denbrock. And of course they ran & hired Jimbo when things (thankfully) fell through here. No shame at all.

Just went and checked the reaction on Twitter and TexAgs.
Apparently, a lot of Aggies believe he's LSU's current S&C coach and they're "stealing" him.

He simply cannot be worse than the current bozo. Schmidt and Elko left at the same time, and Fisher never recovered. Also, the amount of A&M injuries has been staggering

He’s great. He was at LSU for a long time and did a great job for us. I’m unsure what he’s been up to the past two seasons, but I think it’s a good hire for A&M
