They won the schedule lottery last year. Beat a ND team due to a blatant hold where the center tackled the ND defender on the game winning play. A ND team who beat no one. Their next best win was Missouri who went 4-4 in the SEC and was starting their QB 3 due to injury. They were a fraud last year too. Reed through for 15 TDs against 12 picks against the P4

They really miss Conception the WR and his field stretching ability. Without a true #1 receiver, Mario Craver just isn't as effective and obviously Marcel Reed needs more help from his teammates.

I think that the answer is a mix of the metaphysical and the theological.
In summary, the reason is because God Hates Texas A&M.
Why does God hate them? I can't be sure about that, but I'll bet that it has something to do with Double Predestination.
