lol what? Those four years as Arizona States hitting coach before coming to A&M three years ago was all volunteer work?
Are y'all fricked up over us that you don’t even know how to research a simple fact pattern?
Michael Earley has broken the whorns. Lol

This is good news
The presumption is the entire coaching staff would go to Texas
Glad somebody stayed behind
Now it's time to see what the players in the portal will do...........

No offense but what would current players know about the college baseball coaching landscape? Have they closely interacted with Vaughn, Skip, O’Connor, etc?
Exactly that’s why I always laugh when they say the players want a current coach. Of course they do. Their coach just backstabbed them and they want a familiar person to go with.

I’m not really interested in getting into a bunch of back-and-forth on this, because everybody is going to dig in on their narratives, and nobody is going to change their minds. But I absolutely love this hire.
Earley has been to Omaha 2 of the last 3 years. He’s been through a full SEC schedule 3 times. When he was hired as the A&M hitting coach several years ago, the impact was immediate. He has helped mold a bunch of guys who can absolutely bash the baseball.
After the events of the past week, I don’t think you can underestimate the importance of hiring a guy who is 200% all in on this program. He has children in schools here, including a 12-year-old baseball player, he and his wife love the community. He wants to be here and to build, long-term. The current roster will be held intact, and the effects of that will ripple into the future, no doubt, and can’t be over stated.
Oh, and by the way. Tony Vitello was hired as an assistant. Kevin O’Sullivan was hired as an assistant. UVA’s Brian O’Connor was hired as an assistant. Tim Corbin at Vanderbilt was hired as an assistant.

I would say almost all of them will be back. They and a ton of former players were for hiring Earley. We keep the same offensive system as well. I’m good.

What do you care. You have the PoS and none of our players. Congrats on paying 3M for a PoS

You think volunteer assistant coaches were just out there working for free?

We had a bunch of former players who were in favor of hiring Mike Bianco when Jay was hired. I'm glad Woodward ignored them.

It’s a high risk hire but now most of the money can go toward players as it should. All you need is a solid fundamentals coach

Smart hire. Not a home run hire that will win the press conference but it’s the right one

* A&M made a very furious run ($$) for Tony Vitello. It shot its shot, but TV stayed put and loyal to a program that has given him the keys to the castle.

* A&M also went after UVA's Brian O'Connor, but very dififcult to get him out of CVil

He’s actually a very good coach.
You don't know that. You could be right, maybe. But you could be dead arse wrong. Just call it what is. Schlossnagle left yall in a spot where your roster is likely to be gutted and its not your fault. It's not an ideal situation for any established coach because its going to be such a rebuild. The only coach touching that job was going to be an ambitious up and comer.

We will keep the roster, loser. At least we didn’t pay 3M for a PoS

Everyone in the portal will be back. Keep up. They went in the portal until they see who was hired. It’s why very few have actually gone anywhere.
