but Buzz has a done a somewhat decent job making them competitive.

That's the A&M expectation for the 8th highest paid coach in college basketball in year 3?

Be somewhat competitive and pray for an NIT invite?

He is a perfect fit for aTm. Please do not try to start something. He likely will retire from there if busy bodies like you keep your nose out of it.

Texas A&M's AD hired Buzz and Jimbo. Apparently he likes overpaying for mediocre talent to overrated has beens. Surprised the Aggies haven't told the AD to hit the road with that kind of return on their money.

Not sure if this is the bit but said AD is at LSU

As for Buzz he’s definitely be disappointing so far. How this year finishes and next year are big. We look to be much improved this year but we need a tourney appearance by the end of year 4 (next year) I think to justify keeping him

His teams play their asses off but the skill level is pretty lacking

I think it takes time. Buzz ain't Nick Saban, he's going to have to show kids he can coach them up and he's doing just that. Next step is get kids with more raw talent.

As far as what he's paid IDGAF, not my money. :)

Yeah we are the furthest thing from a basketball school also which will never help. For all the underachieving and unrealized potential we have in football and baseball I can’t really say the same about basketball. Which is why we will be patient with Buzz even if the results disappoint

What can I say, I just prefer my sports events to be decided on the field, not by the referees or who can foul the frick out of everyone in the last 2 minutes and shoot from the charity stripe.

Is that still an excuse in basketball with the rise of the transfer portal?

Will Wade (LSU) - No. 3 seed in NCAAT in 2nd year

Eric Musselman (Arky) - No. 3 seed in NCAAT in 2nd year

Nate Oats (Bama) - No. 2 seed in NCAAT in 2nd year

Rick Barnes (Vols) - No. 3 seed in NCAAT in 3rd year

LEAVE HIM ALONE! DROP THE SUBJECT!

He is good enough for aTm.

You can make the same arguments regarding PI/holding calls at the end of the game in football

Wrong. LSUs AD hired both of them and I agree he sucks. Made an awful hire at LSU as well with BK.

The “don’t have the dudes” argument doesn’t really exist anymore.

You can go in the transfer portal and recruit 3-4 guys every off-season now.

What was he like at Marquette and Virginia Tech? I don’t know or care to look it up but you guys seem to have everything Aggie bookmarked, I’m half kidding but go ahead look it up and let me know so I can get an idea what how bad he is according to LSU

It’s highly likely that after this season it will look something like this:

Seasons at A&M: 3
Seasons missed the NCAAT: 3

Seasons at Marquette/Va Tech: 11
Seasons missed the NCAAT: 3
