It directly belies the point that just because they're freshmen doesnt mean that they cant be effective, as LSU has shown with their youngsters. Its called comparison.

Yates is gone and good riddance. Aggies hired Terry Joseph from U of Nebraska to Coach DB's. He has a lot of Louisiana ties and is going to give LSU fits in recruiting.

True, but just because someone doesnt play well as a freshman doesnt mean they cant be very good by the time they are a senior.

The difference is that D-linemen and LBs need a year or two to get bigger. Most of those guys are typically still growing into their frames. So, they get pushed around. How many front 7 freshmen started for LSU? I'm not saying you're wrong, I am just saying that it's a plausible explanation when only one or two upperclassmen are in the front 7 starting lineup.
