just don't understand Texas' obsession with us. You are posting on a conference board you have no affiliation with, on a thread about a team you never play.

In his defense, no one here want a you Aggots in this conference. If Mike Slive was not an incompetent dumbass piece of shite, you assclowns would not be here.

Alabama Crimson Tide Football ... more trophies than seasons on NCAA probation (but not by much). That's documented, too.

You have been melting about Mike Slive for years now, meanwhile anyone who matters sees him as the guy who set the SEC up to get revenues at the top of the sport for over a decade.

Texas A&M in the SEC was always going to happen eventually. If you want to melt then melt that we didn’t do it with Arky in the 1990s which allowed USCe and Mizzou to be SEC programs too.

Will Aggieland be proud of an avg finish of 3rd in the West after 5 years of Jimbo?

You think USCe and Mizzou would be SEC programs if it weren't for Arkansas and A&M?

No finish higher than 2nd and at least one at 4th.

FSU got nailed with the stigma of being soft. That fell on Jimbo's shoulders and was one of the main reasons I didn't like it when he was being linked to the LSU job. He will always give you average to above average QB play but that's not really something Aggy has been struggling with. If he continues to not pay attention to defense it will be business as usual in Aggyland.

That's not what he's saying. He's arguing with your premise that it would always happen eventually. When the SEC decided to expand to 12 teams it was due to Roy Kramer utilizing a little known caveat, at the time, that allowed 12 team conferences to have conference championship games. The schools considered were South Carolina, FSU, Miami, Arkansas, Texas, and Texas A&M. South Carolina was easy as they were independent at the time. Politics prevented the Texas schools from working. FSU was swayed by expansion of the ACC and Miami was interested in the Big East to help with their bball program. That left Arkansas and USC. In 1992, no one knew that conferences would expand to larger than 12 schools, which is why your affirmation that A&M would have become an SEC eventually is revisionist history. No one would have ever predicted the formation of the Longhorn network and the power they had in the Big 12, nor could people have predicted in 1992 that these TV deals would be as lucrative as they are today. It took the SEC 58 years to expand from 10 teams to 12. To say it was a forgone conclusion they'd expand to 14 teams within 20 years is a farce.

Here's an interesting article of the first expansion if you're interested
