It’s Mike Elko. New A&M DC. Not official yet but that’s who’s taking over. Overachieved as the wake forest DC and fixed a very bad Notre Dame defense.

No, not really. But the other two did.

And dayum - I needed to buy Christmas gifts for the cousins while I was waiting on the various cancelled flights.

It was frustrating.

I'd complain were I an Aggie fan. That's some blatant favoritism right there.

I'll never eat at another airport Peppers' either.

Dallas is full of t-sips. Houston is Aggie country.

If y'all do get him he'll be a good one. The guy is a winner and smart as a whip. His Wake Forest Ds reminded me of Boom's. Willing to stick their faces in the fan. He put them in the right places too ... former safeties make good DCs.

He’s on the list.
But Elko remains as much of a rumor as others.
In a nutshell, no one has a clue who the new DC is.

Took seven whitetails ... no elk, no big axis. Meat just arrived today so I've got two days ahead of me tomorrow and Wednesday making jerky, cutting up stew meat and back straps and making some sausage.

It was the coldest hunt I've ever been on out there. Snowed and iced on us almost every day.

Had a blast though. Always a great group of guys.

Something else new I noticed this year .... windmills everywhere. Holy cow I have never seen so many windmills. On top of the mesas everywhere ... miles and miles of them just past Sheffield. I would have thought solar panels maybe ... but dayum at the windmills.

I like the new color they've painted all the holding tanks though. Sure looks better than the old rusty white. Kind of reminds me of military desert tan. They look a lot better painted. Looked like they are painting a lot of the wells and pumps too.

A lot of private ranches in Texas allow a lot of deer when they are overpopulated. We only hunt that ranch once a year. We need to start hunting it more often ... we hoped they would migrate to other ranches along Devil's River but they are staying close to the north end for some reason. Getting to be too many turkeys and javelin too.

Can confirm. Used to drive through a colossal wind turbine farm on my drives down from Altus, OK, to San Angelo a few years back.

The windmills are mostly Oklahoma State money (T. Boone Pickens).

The oil is us. According to the Houston Chronicle we could have paid Jimbo $10M.

I guess that leaves more for the new DC

per Houston Chronicle:

Oil has rallied the past three months as the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies reduce supply to drain a global glut. The unprecedented cooperation among producers, which has now been extended until the end of 2018, has crude prices on their way to a second annual advance.

$57 per barrel and rising. Thanks OPEC
