247s rankings are shite. OU has more 5 star guys than Texas and the same number of 4 stars. 3 star is the same too....how is their class so high all of a sudden?

Not to sure but I would assume it’s about where on the range of 5* and 4* commits are. I.e high 5 star, low 4 star, things like that

Texas tampered with Bru McCoy after he had already signed an LOI. But it's nothing new for Herman. He also tampered with our 5* QB a few years ago at Houston, and yelled at a radio host on air for calling him on it.

I just checked. Texas has more higher rates 4 stars on 247. I could care less coaching is more important to me.

For a program with a history of highly ranked classes but is only 2 games over .500 in conference play since joining in 2012? 29-27 is not much to write home about.

They are drunk on the Jimbo Kool Aid.
Jimbo is a good coach. Don't get me wrong. A&M needs someone better to win SEC and National Championships.
Mainly because of Jimbo's history of underachieving in the ACC and destroying Florida State.
They make comparsions to Mack Brown at Texas....

Maybe Mack towards the end of his tenure with us when he wasn’t winning 10 win seasons on the reg, but so far Jimbo hasn’t done anything but sign a solid recruiting class. He talks really big which is why he fits in at aggy but time will tell with results on the field.

Right but my point is Jimbo now ain’t Jimbo 5 years ago. That lil midget is coming off a losing season and an average one. He is a good recruiter so far but I am dubious about his likelihood of success at aggy, a place where “success” isn’t really a thing anyway.

The issue for Jimbo like it was with Mack Brown is that they use recruiting to create momentum.
To do that you rely on evaluations of Sophomores and Juniors.
You really can't tell until their senior year.
So you get a bunch of recruits who reached their peak early and do not develop.
