I can see that with Bama but Lsu is clearly in a decline. Should be an easy game.

I'm laughing because this obviously was a joke.

I'm going to put $500 down during the season that LSU will beat A&M in Tiger Stadium this year. I feel that confident about it. If LSU is favored I think they will cover the spread also. Bookmark this thread bc it will happen. LSU wins by more than a touchdown.

Les Miles owns any team that runs a spread. Except Florida maybe. But you get the point. LSU is the anti gimmick pussy offense killer.

I like aggies. Even in the middle of a losing season, they'll talk about their team as if they're about to play for a championship.
If that team walks into Death Valley with the attitude that they're gonna win easy, you're gonna need body bags to get them back home.
ETA: My first paragraph was a genuine complement to the Aggie spirit. You silly bitches are cray-cray.

Four-three, that almost sounds like a compliment my friend. To repay the respect, I think you guys kill ATM this year. I would not be surprised if three loses are in there future...

Looking way into the future there sport. Lets just concentrate on next year for now.

I am fairly certain we win the LSU game.

If you call next year way into the future then yeah, Bama/LSU/Bowl. I see three most likely

Give respect where it's due. Just something I've noticed over the years. Maybe LSU has just had more chances but look at the games.
Oregon. Florida in most cases. WVU. Ohio State. LSU is built much better to stop the spread than Alabama. Despite Nick Saban's defensive back resume, the difference is the backfield on defense and defensive ends.
Whereas Alabama has 3 10,000 pound elephants on the front line, LSU distributes the weight over 4. This allows players like Barkevious Mingo and occasionally Minter to fly around with reckless abandon and catch players like said Johnny Scatback. Basically broken down like this in mind:
LSU:
D-Backfield - Speed and coverage lockdown.
Linebackers - don't really know here. See more in coverage than not. I'll need some help on this one.
D-Line - 2 big uglies and 2 speed demons. Best for beating spread QBs due to the middle clogging and often unimpeded ends.
Bama:
D-Backfield: Nicky will ocasionally have a lockdown, but this units strength lies in run coverage and QB blitzes. Trade speed with strength mostly.
Linebackers - Core unit. Defense is built around linebacker play. All calls come from LB position as well as most defensive stops/sacks/TFLs/etc. speed and strength are both abundant in the group.
D-Line - Nick's lineman are usually massive as can be. Super run stuffers. Logic here is, you stop the run, you make the other team one dimensional. This putting more pressure on QB. This philosophy can backfire though occasionally. This is where the difference is between AL and LSU. LSU doesn't force one dimensional play in the instance that in theory it's not a strict #1 job. It's to my belief, a secondary concern that comes with getting to the QB and having success as a defense.
Also I might add to that last paragraph that if the QB is on fire regardless, that's where the fault lies against the philosophy. Didn't clarify originally.
Just my very elongated opinion

in my lifetime, it has been assumed many times. and most of the time it has been assumed wrong. LSU usually kicks arse in BR. i just placed a bet with an aggie where he gave me 3 points. he negotiated like hell then walked away saying he got the best of the bet. of course, i know better. the fool is gonna lose big time.

LSU returns speed speed and more speed at LB. Also a 100+ tackler from last season.
This just might turn out to be the best group of LBs at LSU in a long long time. That's until '14 comes around.

Still haven't stated why you thing it will be such an easy game for the aggies.
It's easy to say it. Now back it up.

I had a bet with an LSU hating friend in 2011. He just KNEW for a fact that LSU would lose at least 4 games, probably 6.
Bastard never paid up.

Good post.
It's the lockdown corners that gives either the rush ends time to get to the QB, or pressure to come from the LBs (occasional S blitz) when the DEs are containing. You could see it happen in games where LSU figures out that they can go to man coverage in the D backfield. LSU gets a lot of 'coverage sacks'.
Thats' what killed OSU in the 2007 BCSCG, LSU could man up on their receivers.
And yeah, with Bama, it's stuff the run, force the pass, and outscheme them in the D backfield to minimize mismatches/get turnovers.
