I imagine Oklahoma saw y’all getting in and thought “if they can get in,anyone can.”
The SEC needs to revisit these incredibly bad decisions

I love it when fans trash their own schools alums if they don't work out as a coach.

At OU we saw that with Heupel when gutless Bob Stoops fired him instead of his brother. People trashing Josh big time.

At least show him respect for his time as a player while you are shitting on him.

It was all about not wanting to have the image of being tied to Texas or appearing to need Texas.

We Aggie Alums followed it all pretty closely. I don't recall anyone thinking what you said above. That was more a product of media shock jocks and generally ignorant out of state college football fans trying to find a sexier byline.

There was an extreme fatigue on both sides (Longhorn and Aggie) and definite tension between the two leadership teams. That probably made it all the easier for A&M to bolt.

But the SEC had been talking to A&M for decades at that point. It was a very desired and easy stepping off point for the University. The SEC had so much of a greater national profile, which manifested itself in the revenue dollars on the backside. We even had hired brand consultants pushing the move in an attempt to bolster the University's rep outside the state of Texas.

The money made sense and A&M could step away from the wobbly platform that was the Big 12 at that time.

It was a very rational move.

Misery should have gone to the Sun Belt or Mountain West if they were so unhappy. Not the SEC.
Misery is never gonna be accepted. Neither is A&M.

I mean your family probably wishes you were never born but we can't all get what we want

The SEC fans sure didn’t get what we wanted. Thank you SEC commissioner and all your minions for royalty screwing up our conference.

Sure they did. SEC needed robust fan bases, money…to cover all the loser schools after Bama, Georgia, LSU…you hit it…unfortunately, LSU and Ole Miss are the biggest losers and can’t stop rhe bleeding when Texas and OU join.

Don’t you try to take the heat off LSU. It’s only Tuesday.

You’d rather we went to the B10 with our $ and you’d be even farther behind?

I love these posts from some random trailer park lessee who’s dating his second cousin.

Thanks for checking in, Cletus.

I always thought Mizzou would be a great fit in the Big 10. Ditto for the Kansas Jayhawks.

I’d actually blame UGA and OU for suing the NCAA to have their control of television contract be deemed unconstitutional. The only way to keep college football a regional sport was to deny a free market of television contract negotiations. Once the market got its hooks into college football, commodifying the product was inevitable.

This is correct, you buffoons.
