A&M will lear that we play a tough game every week in conference. You get hit Big Time every game. Vandy and OM are not Iowa St.

well duh. Iowa St is usually better than them.

Yeah, Iowa St didn't beat #3 Ok St last year or anything.
I love that everybody thinks we have to learn everything in the SEC. We've been watching. We know.

Im just trying to make some of the Tex A&M crowd realize that the SEC is run first, run second and throw third as a norm. Since Im a tad older I can recall some really knock down and drag out defensive battles where scoring ten points seemed like enough to win games.
We know. We saw LSU@BAMA. But every defense has a weakness to exploit. A good offense is "formless... shapeless, like water. Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You pour water into a bottle; it becomes the bottle. You put water into a teapot; it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow, or creep or drip or crash! Be water, my friend..."

I assume you are saying that a good offense will find a weak spot and capitalize which is true, but I believe a good offense is more than that. Balance is vital to being successful in this league because teams have the athletes to completely shut you down if you try the same thing too many times.

For example, in 2010, teams could not run the ball effectively against Alabama resulting in more pass attempts. this caused Milliner to be picked on often because he was a first year starting DB. In response to this, Lester was given the duty to cover him more him over the top more often which helped Lester have a tremendous number of picks.
With a more balanced offense such as what was seen in the LSU and Auburn games, teams were able to show that they could run and pass the ball. This resulted in the Tide often being unable to predict what was coming next or they could not overly commit to it because of the threat of the other.

I agree. When looking at different types of offense, I think a team should "use only that which works, and take it from any place you can find it".
I should also say that I think spread offenses can be useful at every level, but teams should "not deny the classical approach, simply as a reaction, or you will have created another pattern and trapped yourself there".

Bottom line? A&M has an offensive line better than Bama's, a receiving corps better than Tennessee's, running backs better than South Carolina, can sack the QB more often than LSU, and a signal caller better than whatever Arkansas has.
Be scared.
Dear God... I was right about everything outside of Lattimore.

Can anyone tell me who stated those two quotes...without goggling it.

The offense's only weakness, playing at home in the wind.
