Hmmm...

Te'o should be the star in this commercial.

Everything on the internet is true.

Glad they didn't bring the story out before the NC game.

This is absolutely insane - this isn't the type of thing someone lives down. I hope he doesn't jump off a building or something.

If you are in college and call anyone you've never had sex with (let's not even get into someone you've never physically met) "your girlfriend" chances are you are either 1) gay 2) confused or 3) a complete toolbox

So do we have verification that his Grandmother did in fact die?

That was in the deadspin article. They confirmed using the obituary.

At this moment, Deadspin has way more credibility than say ESPN does.

Thanks, I've only seen stories about the Deadspin article. Guess I need to go read the Deadspin story.

Just curious but does anyone remember if ESPN discussed the death of the Girlfriend during the National Championship game?

Surely Brent Musberger wouldn't repeat something like this over and over and over and over again after saying "and remember folks..."

ESPN has very little integrity or credibility.

It's crazy crap like this that makes the possibility of this nutjob being paid to miss tackles seem a very real possibility.

FWIW-was he born in the same hospital Obama was?

Te'o Dad quoted saying that the GF had visited Hawaii several times

"According to Te’o’s father Brian, The two of them started as friends but every once in a while she would visit him in Hawaii, things eventually concluded in they becoming a couple"

4)A complete loser trying to get attention/approval/praise from friends for something you can't really do IRL on your own.

Teo didn't need attention and I'm sure he could get girls so it's not #4. That makes me think it's likely #3..he's just a total dick.
