One of the few times I don't mind a thread going off-topic.

Anyone else here gonna root for UT against any of there opponents from now on? Get yer head checked if you plan on it.

I am really not excited about us signing this guy.
But what are you gonna do?
I will always pull for the Vols but will never be glad we brought this guy on board.

My final two opinions on this situation after reading the many justifications from Vols on other boards:
1) Ever think that his second chance was basically no punishment other than counseling? Not to mention admittance into a top prep school instead of Juvie Hall.
2) He had 27 offers. If he truly feels remorse, why not spare the girl the shitstorm that is going to occur once the media gets ahold of this story. Go to another school far away from the situation in a far less glaring media spotlight.
I am sorry, but this kid wants to eat the whole cake.
If he wants this, then I hope he doesn't ask for help when he is mentally f'ed by ever opposing fan base at every chance possible.
I lied not my final thoughts, after reading the Rivals article with quotes from Hood, I think he is even more of a selfish person at heart. He literally was looking for sympathy at how hard it was to be arrested and lead away in handcuffs in middle school and then actually said he was "drug through the mud" during the recruiting process. Then at the end of it all, he actually said he hoped the victim shows up at his first game to show support. Screw you, kid. You should be saying ten mea culpas every morning for the rest of your life, and considering yourself the luckiest dumb-F in the world. It is easy to spout off all the right things to say; try actually being a little less selfish.

for all the vol fans defending him and saying he deserves a 2nd chance ask your self this....if you were in a position to give scholarships and some kid did this to your daughter or mom (for those that dont have daughters) would you give him a scholly 5 years later

By the way, heartbreak, we didn't "frick up" the Monday night game. We just beat you because we were better.

Look, the Miracle in Death Valley was our one, ONE good moment in an otherwise disaster of a season. Can't we have that?

Yes.
But my dog is still waiting...
