it would be easier if LSU/Bama just played 13 games a season

first one to 7 games won is champ

And the last time A&M beat LSU was 18 years ago when the current players on both teams were in diapers.

Meanwhile in the past 3 years LSU is 2-0 against A&M.

I would say that fact has a good bit more relavence then your neat little stat.

one word.. DEPTH we had it

That's funny considering the guys next in line to step up on the DL were HEAVILY recruited by Saban/Bama and chose LSU in the end. Now, Jermauria Rasco and Jordan Allen are not good enough (say bama/a&m fanboy) to keep up the tradition of great defense at LSU.

Maybe y'all should wait until we start losing more recruiting battles than we are winning before calling for the demise of the LSU program. LSU will have signed (70)SEVENTY players over the last 5 classes rated 4 or 5 stars. These are the players that will be on the roster for the 2013 season. With all the returning starters on offense, I think LSU could be a sleeper to win the West. Chavis has proven he can use talented underclassmen to field a good Defense.

The only one out of that group who should definitely stay IMO is Chris Faulk. He is coming off an injury and with a good year at LSU could return to being a first round pick.

Mingo, Montgomery, Reid, Simon, and Minter are studs who you had to expect were going to leave early. I'm not sure on Logan - I thought he might stay another year to increase his chances of going in the first round but it sounds like he may end up being a top round pick anyway.

Wing is a punter who we were going to lose for behavior/drug issues whether or not he entered the draft.

Ware and Ford are good players but were probably going to be #2 or 3 on the running back depth charts

I would have loved to keep some of these guys another year but the incoming class is filthy good and at some level have a class of incredible guys leaving and a class of incredible guys coming in is the sign of a productive program. In regards to the question will LSU even be competitive? Yes, of course. They have played a ridiculous number of freshmen and sophomores over the last two years - they are still loaded.

Care to take a stab at how many freshman and sophmores started last year when we ran the table through the SEC? This coaching staff has recruited it's arse off and is not afraid to play young guys. Les has started a RS FR LT 3 out of the 7 years he's been here. You frickers have no idea what you're dealing with here Paco.

Lets have a quick little History lesson since you Ags are new to College Football it seems.

2011 LSU Tigers
Vs #3 Oregon W 40-27
Nortwestern State W 49-3
Vs #25 Miss State W 19-6
Vs #16 West Virginia W 47-21
Kentucky W 35-7
#17 Florida W 41-11
VS Tennessee W 38-7
#19 Auburn W 45-10
VS # 2 Alabama W 9-6
Western Kentucky @ W42-9
Vs Ole Miss W 52-3
#3 Arkansas W 41-17

That year we returned 15 starters. Next year we return 14.

Now your homework is to find out how many So. and Freshmen we had play on an undefeated team.

Where will they be drafted?????

Five and possibly a sixth depending on predraft workouts will go first two rounds.

One will be first special team player drafted.

Two have family/personal issues.

If there is any problem in the lockerroom do any of you honestly believe PP7 would have let his lil bro go to BR?

Do you think Copeland would be RECRUITING his FRIEND and high school TEAMMATE to LSU?

Do you think Darry Beckwidth would have just let his cousin/nephew commit to the tigers?

Do you think Miles would have been able to assemble this oh so very talented recruiting class? Recruits do talk to members of the team when they visit. All those recruits speak of the same theme after they leave campus. "It's like family in BR".

This oh so terrible coaching staff was two plays from going 12-0 in '12 just like their 12-0 season of '11.

Not to get picky my LSU brother but,

Landry was just our leading receiver he wasn't a starter though. The starter opposite OBJ was Wright I believe.

Williford is a multi year returning starter to the O-line.

Rasco was a scout 5*.

If Minter was the only LB we lost there has to be another starting LB returning somewhere on the roster. Take your pick Muncie, Alexander, Louis and T Jones all started at least one game last year. Maybe even D Jones.

Yes LSU is sinking. Will win only one game next year. Unfortunately for you it's against A&M.
