It took White Boots 3.75 seasons to win a National Championship and Chizick did it in two.

Coach o had the greatest season in college football history followed by the greatest draft in history. That’s why

it actually did transfer in 2013. As long as you have a mobile qb who can throw slants it is actually a pretty offense. I have no idea why Gus has recruited the qbs he has these last few years.

Gene Stallings failed some as a head coach as well.
Orgeron seems to be a great recruiter and has identified and hired great assistant coaches.
Chiz is a nice man and some stuff went down that basically was not in his total control.
Gus recruited QBs. None of them were even close to good enough to compete in SEC.
Loefler, the wizard who made Tom Brady, was perhaps the worst hire in football history.

This is the first time I realized they are separate people. I mean I guess they are? Have they ever been seen in the same room together?

I mean, we can all agree that Orgeron is a better coach than Jimbo Fisher

2005 Ole miss 3-8 (1-7 SEC)
2006 Ole Miss 4-8 (2-6
2007 Ole Miss 3-9
2013 USC 6-2.
2016 LSU. 6-2
2017 LSU 9-4
2018 10-3
2019 15-0
That is just wrong. Ed has won more than 9 twice. 2018 & 2019. Beside 2019 he has never had more than 10 wins and less than 2 losses. Ed could keep it going but let's wait and see how much of it was the 6 NFL first rounders and the best oc & dc. He assembled that team no doubt but we just can't for sure say he is going to make a dynasty.

"Below average"; He led LSU to 10 wins, a bowl victory & a Top 6 ranking. When was the last time the gators were that average?

80% wins since he got to real schools. Not bad.
We’re so much better prepared on game day than when Miles was here. It’s night and day.

One is not like the other. Orgeron is clearly building and is recruiting at the highest level.
Look, I get it. You’re scared and insecure. It bothers you that Orgeron has transformed LSU into a beast.
Chizik wasn’t a CEO coach. He hadn’t laid a great foundation. Orgeron is a CEO Coach and he knows how to organize, delegate, motivate and lead. How good was Chizik as a recruiter? How good is Orgeron at recruiting?

Dynasties are rare. No team, not even Bama wins it every year. Those 6 NFL first rounders were recruited by O. Knock him if you will, O has shown a willingness to change and step back when needed. All coaches have an ego. To be great you need an ego, yet O is smart enough to recognize weak points and addresses them. There are a lot of teams in the SEC who's fans wish their coach would be willing to do the same.

I didn't say he wasn't a good coach. I actually predicted he would eventually win an SEC championship in 2018. My point is that he has had plenty of less than 9 win seasons.

Its not wrong, my post actually said he's never won less than nine and I was obviously referring to O as head coach at LSU and Chizik as head at Auburn, the positions that are being compared here.
The only time at LSU when Ed won less than 9 was his interim year when he went 6-2.

Lots of differences:
1. O is a perfect cultural fit for LSU...Chiz was a chameleon that could have marginally fit anywhere, but also not great anywhere
2. O is a MASTER motivator and recruiter...Chiz was neither
3. LSU flagship school in a state ripe for talent...this+great recruiter and rising program (or risen)=great things. AU will never be the flagship...the fact that we have, at times, recruited as well as we have, is almost puzzling to me
4. O does a fantastic job of surrounding himself with smart people, great assistants, that are strong where he is not as strong...Chiz had a few good coaches and others just seemed like placeholders. His best coaches were Gus and the special teams coach Jay Boulware
5. When Chiz speaks, it leaves your head spinning like you just heard from a politician...he can say a lot, without saying anything at all...and he says it without sounding like the bastard love child of Justin Wilson and a cubic yard of gravel dumped into a running wood chipper
