I mean OU is historically a top 5 brand of college football they’ll be just fine.

The fact that this is even in question tells you folks are rating OU correctly.
The fact that OU plays the good half of the SEC sans Georgia is certainly an issue to consider.
Again, Lehman's point is that SEC fans are seeing the schedule and automatically penciling in losses. He points out that OU has recruited just as well as any of those other teams... and that they will be competitive with all those teams.

I judge neither OU nor Texass. Let them compete in the SEC for the next 3 seasons and then we can begin to evaluate where they are.
LSU has won THREE NC's since OU won one. The 21st century is our recent history not just the last three seasons.

They're dogging SEC schools for coaches not having been there more than 4-5 years?
Brent Venables has been at OU for 3 years.
We have turnover in the SEC because the SEC is a meat grinder. If you suck, you're out.
If you're OU, you hang on to mediocrity forever so long as you beat Texas every once in a while and OK State on the reg.
