Just look at UCLA
even UCLA could stand to invest more. They just had a several year dry spell of missing the NCAAT and this is their first trip to Omaha since Trevor Bauer was there. It really is inexcusable with all the home grown talent in California. Hell, on our roster alone we have Curiel, Noot, and Eyanson from California.
This is where UCLA plays baseball. If you were a California kid and saw this compared to what the SEC has to offer, where would you go?

You are by far my favorite troll lol. Same response you copy paste without knowing shite about me.
What did Texas do to you to hate us so much? We have no rivalry whatsoever and haven’t played consistently ever.

So basically when LSU makes it they capitalize more than Texas. However they also shite the bed and miss Omaha significantly more than Texas so….. what’s your flex.
LSU started taking Baseball seriously when Skip Bertman was hired in 1984.
In the last 40 years, LSU has been to Omaha 20 times. That’s an average of every other year. And…. You call that shitting the bed and missing Omaha more significantly than Texas? lol. What a joke!!!!!

We know, that’s Okstate sports for you in a nutshell.
We even have the record for most consecutive CWS appearances with 7 in the 80s.
Only 1 natty from the 50s.

Well for context, Texas had been to the college World Series 23 times before LSU’s first. And already had 4 titles.

If you’re LSU, you don’t want west coast schools investing in baseball. The best are now all coming to LSU

I don’t think any school who doesn’t already have a large baseball fanbase is going to start investing now.

I know you’re a fraudulent cowboy, that’s for sure.
Maybe you can wear your assless chaps while you watch LSU in Omaha

So… for context purposes:
Texas was significantly better at Baseball than LSU, in the 40 years before LSU starting taking the game seriously.
Since LSU started taking the game seriously, LSU is significantly better than Texas over the last 40 years.
Got it.

Yep. Before the mid 80’s, the game belonged to the west.

Taking baseball seriously, what a joke. That’s on your AD if you didn’t take baseball seriously, what an excuse. And even with your math Texas has about the same % of visits to Omaha as a program (every other year) vs LSU but accounting for a much larger time period (since we are not making excuses as not taking baseball seriously).
LSU you are better than that
LSU you are better than that

Yeah.
That's what happens when one team consistently owns the other, like LSU does to Texas.

Aww how cute you also don’t live in a world of facts.
Texas leads the football all time series and is 28-15 in baseball series. LSU leads the basketball series.
Care to elaborate on this “consistent ownage” of LSU vs Texas”?

It’s not an excuse, it’s factual reality. I graduated from LSU in 1982. While I was at LSU, baseball was virtually non-existent. No one invested in it. If there was a baseball game going on, no one knew, or cared.
Skip Bertman was hired in 1984 after being the pitching coach at Miami. He built the LSU Baseball program from scratch. He had a bare bottom budget to start with. He had to do everything himself. He had to fund raise, bring awareness to college baseball in Louisiana. Build a program. I know you won’t do this, but watch “Hold the rope” to get an understanding of what Skip was tasked with to build the baseball program.
Skip built the greatest college baseball program in the country. From the time Skip was hired till now, no one can come close to the success that LSU has had in college baseball.

LSU CWS title win percentage : 37%
Texas CWS title win percentage : 16
See the fallacy here?

Does anyone know the significance of 1978 and why USC never won again after that season?

UCLA does have a small stadium, but it is pretty cool how it fits into the natural scenery. They have invested money into upgrading their facilities.
