Cal doesn't have a legit football championship like the others on that list do.

I just used Google. Says they have 5 recognized titles in Football.
1920, 1921, 1922, 1923, 1937

1937! Long time ago.
Kind of like 1939…and, fwiw, 1998.
Yikes!

I'm still pissed about the 2003 game vs Syracuse in NOLA.
Guard play absolutely killed us... I think our backcourt went 13 for 40 or some shite like that. We had decent front court play but Barnes basically insisted on us going 3 guards against Syracuse's much larger lineup even though Boddicker played well off the bench.
I knew that night that Barnes would never in his career win an NCAA title

If those count, so do all the college basketball polls like the Helms and Premo-Porretta Power Poll.

Damn we’d be in this headline if it was 40’s- 50’s.
What a great time as an Oklahoma A&M Aggie.

Let’s be honest. Basketball sucks.

I did not say I think the past and present titles are equal, just that they are claimed and recognized.

Basketball is fun during tourney times...but in the main season...pretty much. Except fot a few big match-ups.

The answer is Ohio State, Michigan, Florida, UCLA

Florida has all three in the last 20 years. Might the Gators chomp to all three starting with baseball?

If Cal is on the list so is LSU

1937 Cal - National champion (Dunkel, Helms, Williamson System)
Sounds lame but those "systems" all awarded a National Champion AFTER the Bowls...AP (which started naming a champion just a year prior) did not.
AP gave their trophy to 9-0-1 Pitt who ended their season in late November after beating #18 Duke 10-0.
While 10-0-1 Cal beat #4 Alabama in the Rose Bowl....13-0.
So, take those facts into account in being less dismissive.

How does LSU's 1935 not put them on the list, period?

Like I said. Just used Google. Did not try to make it overcomplicated.

A misplayed foul ball away for Arkansas.

Yeah, too bad about what your football program has become though.

But for one cursed pop up fly ball and we'd be on this list.
That is the most Arkansas sports thing in our history.
