This wil lbe my next offseason purchase. How much power do I need to run the standard electronics at a tailgate (flat screen, dish, box, etc.)?

get you a generac or a honda get the quiet power. These are amazing runs all day on about two fill ups. Your looking anywhere from 800-1000 but they are definetly worth it. you dont need big wattage output

I have the same generator. You cannot go wrong with this. Very quiet, can handle a pretty large electrical load, and is pretty easy to transport/handle.

the 1000 watt should suit your needs if thats all you are running.

Like I said the Kipor is another option. it uses many of the same components as the Honda except the engine is a suburu. 1000 watt should be around 400 2k should be around 650

We have a 1000 watt Yamaha that I got for about $750 I think. Works perfectly.

+1 the Yamaha 1K or 2K watt inverter is just as good, just as quiet and a little cheaper. You won't be unhappy with this purchase.

Try wisesales.com. Got my Honda eu2000 from them. No tax or shipping charges. Can't beat the price.

I have the Honda EU2000i and it is great. We run a flat screen, lights, 3 crock pots, an electric burner and heaters/fans depending on the weather.
The thing is it will automatically power up when you need it and power down when you don't. Very quiet, light weight and will last a very long time. Look on Craigs list, I got one in the box brand new for $800. Look around, you don't need it for a few months.

I absolutely love my Ryobi....its super quiet and it runs longer than the Honda on a tank. Better price also.

I currently own a Kiper IG1000. Got for around 500 bucks on Amazon. It is as quiet as a Yamaha or Honda for cheaper. Been using for the last 3 years or so and it is plenty of juice for a few tvs and directv boxes. A 2000W will be needed to run a good speaker setup on top of that
