Unless they're in the CFP I don't have a problem with guys sitting. Denzel Ward sat out the game against USC a couple of years ago and it gave Jeffrey Okudah all of the first team reps during the bowl practices and the experience of playing in the Cotton Bowl. It helped get Okudah a jump start for the following season when Ward would be gone.

Which is what I hope happens if some of the draft-eligible Bama players sit. Hoping the new guys will see it as an opportunity and play fired up, getting a chance to show what they can do...

Tua didn't just say that he supports guys sitting. He said that he'd support their decision no matter what it was:
quote:
"With a lot of the guys that are draft-eligible, you can’t really tell them what they should or shouldn’t do. I think the best thing for me as a teammate will be for me to support them in whatever decision they decide to make. It’s their choice. They’ve worked hard enough, and they’ve worked long enough to get to where they’re at in their life.
"If they decide to not play, to sit out, I think that’s a decision they need to sit down with Coach [Saban] and make. I think the best thing that I can do and the rest of our teammates can do is support them in that decision.”

I was thinking the same thing. Testimony aside, obvious obstruction aside, just read the call and you see the POTUS trying to use his office to encourage a foreign government to interfere in our election while weakening an alley and strengthening Russia. "I have a favor to ask, though." #RussianPuppet
Tua's comments are also clear. Just read the transcript.

Perfect example. Everything here is just incorrect, wrong and talking point propaganda.

That’s not what he said. He said it was a personal decision and his job is to support his teammates.

Stop toting Russia's water...it's like pulling for your arch rival in the SEC.

They should just cancel the bowl games.
