"T-sips"

Given what I have learned about the large number of war heroes from the University of Texas who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country, I find it offensive that the Aggies use that derogatory term for the Longhorns. I'm no fan of UT, but I would think a school like A&M with its proud military tradition would be the first to know that service to our country should be respected. Do better Aggies.

No problem with the war heroes referenced - the majority of students fit the t-sip profile though.

its just another aTm myth
fact is, Ut has more total veterans in history than aTm, as Ut was such a large school for so long, going back to the early 1900's

A) Despite the narrative that has been pumped around here, that is not the basis of the term. It’s actually a “country club vs. farmers” thing.
B) Lighten up, Francis.

Texas is also a more Texan school than A&M by a lot.
A&M has a 10 year start in spreading myths.

Very odd reference here, not sure you have seen the movie.

Cool. Now do it on a percentage basis of total graduates. I’ll hang up and listen.
(In other news, Texas high schools put like a billion more graduates in the NFL those non-football states Georgia and Louisiana).
For what it is worth, more than 20,000 Aggies fought in WW2, nearly 14,000 of whom were commissioned officers. I looked for numbers of longhorns, but can't find the number. Do you have a source link for your claims? I know you're trolling, but I'm legitimately interested in the numbers.

I'm not sure this is a good thing for the t sips. In fact, I'm pretty sure it's not.

Honestly, what the hell is a t-sip?

A dude born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He sits around sipping tea.

Okay so, part two, what the hell does that have to do with military service?

It’s only incidentally relayed to military service. In ww2, A&M sent a huge percentage of its graduates and students to fight relative to the sips. Many of them sipped tea while aggy fought in the wars.
Numbers from World War II:
A&M enrollment in 1935 - about 2000
UT enrollment in 1935 - I can't find online. A lot more.
A&M officers in WW2 - 14,000+
UT officers in WW2 - can't find online
A&M servicemen in WW2 - 20,000+
UT servicemen in WW2 - can't find online
A&M fatalities in WW2 - 953
UT fatalities in WW2 - 600
Think about that...a school with an enrollment of 2,000 sent 20,000 servicemen into WW2.
I know we current Ags can't claim those kinds of honors as our own, but I am damn proud of our heritage at A&M.

They are just riding on Nebraska's coattails..
Nebraska is the only school with legitimate grievances against Texas and the Big 12 as a whole, there were some things that helped lead to their demise that could have been changed or done better..For Example, the Big 12 could have found a way to let them keep their annual game with OU on Thanksgiving. That was a big deal for Nebraska and OU and had recruiting implications..
A&M, Mizzou, etc are just riding their coattails on the whiners train..

"aggy" thought out our hand signal looked like someone sipping tea. t-sip resulted.
"tu" was aggy jealousy. Texas was known within Texas as "The University" of Texas. Only aggy does the tu thing.
TLDR: Don't be aggy.

We didn’t create the pejorative, cadets in the 1950s did.
If a buncha GenXers, Millennials, and/or Gen Zers came up with the label, I’d be more inclined to sympathize.

Wrong and ugly to those from Texas who fought and died for the nation. DKR Memorial at Texas is a Memorial to those who fought and died for the nation.
T-sip was aggythink - thinking our hand signal looks like someone holding a tiny tea cup.
Please don't dishonor anyone serving and paying the ultimate price for this nation. Thank you.

A&M is inferior to Texas in every way, so they make up these weird insults that no one, including most of their alumni, understands.
