Its Alabamas fault. If they hadn't of let Bama in three more deserving teams like Notre Dame, Vandy and Texas would have gotten in.

Dumb take atm or ole miss finished 4th and OU, Texas and Vandy tied for 5th. So by your logic ole miss or atm and OU should be out?

Yup. They should be at home watching the playoffs on the couch next to TX.

POWER equals Purdue starting the season with a chance to win the national championship but Tulane and JMU never having a chance.

That's un-American.

They do have a chance. They need to earn it. Neither did.

How many threads are we going to do on this?

It's done. The rules are the rules. Don't like them, change them next year.

If we were getting ready for Texas vs Oregon and Notre Dame vs Ole Miss it sure would be a more exciting first round Saturday.

They did. That's why they are in the playoffs.

Tulane lost 45-10 to Ole MISS.

That was their chance to earn it.

Tulane
is in the playoffs according to the rules agreed upon by the conferences. They earned it.

If they went with last year’s format, Tulane gets a bye. They got that part right. Duke shouldn’t be in either. ACC is garbage, although Miami has a lot of talent and may win today.

Ole Miss and Vandy would still have been Jefferson Pilot

Maybe we should have stuck with 2 and Indiana and tech would be in it and UGA and osu are at home?

UGA lost at home seems like you wouldn’t make a BCS natty given your logic

UGA won its conference and is 3-0 over TX.

I live in New Orleans, have season tickets for Tulane football, basketball and baseball, hate Ole Piss, but hope that Ole Piss skull fricks Tulane. Nothing more embarrassing than these G5 pity bids.

I wish they would start a G5 playoff and leave big boy football alone.

This. So MUCH this.

Eight teams seems right to me.

As said previously, the rules were agreed to prior to season start. You are free to feel embarrassed, I guess, but you not liking the outcome doesn't equate to a "pity bid."
