If we can hold on to this game, then, despite getting killed in game one, we were two inches on that hacopian liner down the third base line with two outs in the bottom of the ninth from having won the series.

I was originally referring to what we might have left for today. I forgot about Walker and I'm assuming Cozart can pitch 1 or 2 more today. I used to love Grubbs, but have lost confidence in him this season.

It's called a game of inches for a reason. Over the course of a season, some will go your way, and some will not. In Miss St game yesterday, there was a 2 out 2 strike pop up behind the plate that missed staying fair by inches (after walking bases loaded). Next pitch - base hit run scores. Next batter - grand slam. Game over.
